Microsoft needs your help downloading a free trial version of Microsoft OneNote. This software is available to NCSU students for FREE and can help you during this stressful time with your classes.

There are also many prizes available from Microsoft, including:
** XBOX 360 **
** Toyota Prius **
** Tablet PC laptop **
** MP3 Player **

1) Visit http://www.onenotecampus.com

2) Choose NCSU as your school

3) Instal Microsoft OneNote.

4) Open OneNote and activate it

You are now ready to use this free software to help make your studying easy and give you more free time for those other important college activities.

Fuck that. I'm not downloading that shit. I take notes using a paper notebook. I don't need some suck ass program made by Micro$oft to help manage my activites, etc.

My roommate kept some spam too long in the fridge and it turned white. Reinforced my decision to not eat it.

Hey tiger..we know your not that great dumbass. First of all the program makes my college experience a hell of a lot less stressful. Second of all yall prolly are to dumb to realize how it works. I have had an ass ton of success with the program. The program is very easy and helpful, its worth the free download.

ok, let's examine this.

a) Title : Microsoft wants to help NCSU students

First line of the thread : Microsoft needs your help downloading a free trial versionof Microsoft OneNote.

not seeing how this is helping me.

b) How is installing this going to make my studying easier? I never get any studying done at the computer, because I always find things to do to distract me, so to study, I have to leave my computer.

c) If this isn't a form of Spam, or if I'm not going to be selling my email address, why in the world would Microsoft be giving away a "free" xbox, prius, pc laptop, and mp3 player?

d) Another brand new tww account comes in defending the program, and putting down other users. And the wording alone from this guy keeps me from wanting to download this even more.

Yeah, trust me, all of us are extremely unintelligent, please tell us how this amazing program can give us "an ass ton of success."

I'm done, let's see how many more 1 posters we get in here defending the program.

Actualy, they both posted pointing out that they do NOT stay on the computer all of the time, and that trying to study while on a computer is distracting.

Thus a computer based notetaking program would HURT their grades, and
ADD to the stress, NOT make life easier.

You on the other hand seem to be a brand new acount, created for the purpose of spamming.

You also neglected to buy an ad for this, and then posted it in the wrong section

I call for this to be moved to either study hall or techtalk, or locked/deleted

OK OK OK. First, if you have questions on how this helps you it should be addressed to me. I am the rep. for OneNote at NCSU and I know how it works. Microsoft is trying to help you by letting you download a free copy of this program, which sells for $99 (or $49 to students). When you install the program you will see how it is useful. It will allow you to search through ALL your notes to easily find exactly what you are looking for in order to study. If you cant get studying done at the computer, then simply print off your notes and study elsewhere or dont let things distract you.

As far as why Microsoft is giving away prizes, its because they would like you to try their software in return for prizes. Also, Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar company which means they can give away anything at anytime. Maybe you should visit http://www.onenotesweepstakes.com and see for yourself. Nobody is selling their email. You will get one email from Microsoft thanking you for your download and nothing more.

Yes, GregGreeno cant spell too well apparently, but apparently he has tried the program. Its free and can be uninstalled if you do not like it, with nothing to lose.

The WHOIS looked somewhat legit ... its from a company in WA and its been reigstered since Aug 2005.

Quote :
"I am the rep. for OneNote at NCSU "

Congrats, there are student reps for several companies at NCSU. The thread title should have been "Free Microsoft download for NCSU students" or "Free Microsoft OneNote" or something similar ... not a deceptive "Microsoft wants to help NCSU students". Learn the rules of the game before you jump into it.

LOL @ jman0110 and GregGreeno

This sounds like a pretty terrible idea. And the fact thatthe people supporting it seem to be in need of some college english classes themselves makes such a stronger selling point.

at least this thread provided some entertainment

Dude, who the fuck takes notes on a computer? Anytime anyone brings a laptop to class its to play games/IM/post to forums/etc while the professor is droning on about nothing. Fuck Microsoft, and fuck their sorry ass note taking program. Like somone said earlier if you're to lazy or dumb to take notes the regular way (on paper) then you don't belong in college.

Cryion.....Its fine that you dont care about the program. You have the right idea to just download and maybe win something and unistal the program after its activated.

Perlith.....yes you are right that this is legit. Some reps were highered as early as August, however NCSU was not. We flew to WA on sept. 30th and started this at NCSU in Oct. I did not use one of those titles because I figured it would seem like spam or something and chose another heading.

Slut.....I do not want to buy an AD because I am not selling anything. This is a free program that some students may want to try. Also, if they dont want to try the program, they can try to win a prize buy installing, activating, and unistalling.

nutsmackr....I take notes on my computer and so do some other students. Also, you can easily scan you notes into the program for easy organization.

Doubledown.....yes the program is best for a Tablet PC, but it still works on laptops and desktops. Also, thank you for giving the program a chance and hopefully downloading to see that it "looks pretty cool".

because this is one of the three places on tww this same promotion is seen (and that's at least 2 too many)

because it's a microsoft product

because they can't spell/type properly, and that makes them an easy target for people on here.

Thank you drunknloaded, I feel the same way. This is free and can be unistalled if you do not like it. There are many of you out there that may actually make use of this program if you give it a shot. I dont understand the "hissy pissy" either because many of these people seem to not even want to try this free offer and if they still feel the same way after giving it a fair shot, then it would be more relevant. So then you just uninstal and hope to win a prize.

I cannot delete this post or the post in study hall, so that is why it is seen on three places. The objective was just for the front page. Sorry for the multiple post. Not many people spell everything correctly on message boards like this and therefore there are mistakes on many posts.
