Hey all you graduating undergrads!

Please remember that you will be standing outside of the RBC Center prior to graduation. Please dress appropriately.

The only way we will move you inside is if it starts to rain.

Weather.com says it will be about 30 degrees. So dress warmly!

What is the point of going to the commencement... its several hours of political crap

Departmental you actually know who's hand your shaking and you get to stand inside and its much less time...

some ppl like the big ceremony and others don't.

However, the university will continue to have it, in one form or another, for many years to come.

That's dumb. It's your day, not the professor's.

If there's enough room to line up inside in case of rain, why not just line up inside anyways? Trying to dress warmly and still have the gown look appropriate is difficult, and having people "bundled up" under the gown seems like an open invitiation to fainting on an emotional day.

there is not enough room to line up inside if it rains.

if it rains, there is no processional. students are just told to "go find a seat."

we assume that most students would rather get the opportunity to march in.

And make your mommas proud- don't wear sneakers or show off your hairy legs beneath that gown. Do what you will with your hat, your hair, but make your legs and feet look good.

yeah it was freezing, we waited in the bottom part of the arena for a good 15-20min before our college got marched in, why didn't they just cram us all in there to start with instead of being trapped in the cold??

we were planning on moving (cramming) people into the arena as early as 815. there were only ~100 of the expected 1000 students there at 815. so we had to keep waiting and hoping more students would show. that way we could line you appropriately.
