Has anyone taken this class (geology) online with Kimberely. Is is tough or pretty easy? Is the text book necessary?

Easy, dont buy book. I didnt take online but im sure its the same. If you do buy a book to help on HW then make sure to buy His book that he wrote.

actually, i've found that both of the books are EXTREMELY helpful in that class. (I am a geology 101 tutor.)

dont buy a book it doesnt help for shit

just watch "Day after tomorrow" about 4 times and youll get a B
