BROCCOLI-CHEESE CASSEROLE

2 (10 3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
1 (8 oz.) Cheez Whiz
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. celery
3/4 c. onion
2 c. Minute rice, uncooked
1 can mushrooms
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli spears, thawed

Mix soup, cheese, and butter; cook over low heat. Stir to mix well. Add other ingredients. Pour into 2-quart casserole. Bake at 325 degrees until bubbly. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and continue cooking 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Grilled asparagus (garlic and crushed red pepper or soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic)
Sauteed green beans (shallot, garlic, and crushed red pepper)
Roasted broccoli with lemon garlic butter

Parmesan smashed potatoes
Roasted new potatoes (garlic, rosemary)

Have the recipes but not gonna bother posting unless anyone is interested. These might seem traditional but people get tired of the same old thing. Our family get together now has sesame grilled asparagus every year at Thanksgiving because it went over so well (even people who swore they hated asparagus).

My mom has to work tomorrow until 5, so she gave me the entire meal to cook. We're having company, so I'm making a lot of food:

Ham
collard greens
Mac and cheese
brocolli and cheese
biscuits
deviled eggs
carrots
green bean casserole
butterbeans
mashed potatoes
potato salad
dressing
squash caserole (my old neighbor made this)
yams

then for dessert:
sour cream cake
pumpkin pie
pumpkin cheesecake
red velvet cake
apple pie

I'm gonna be busy tomorrow

Pick up some already cooked jumbo shrimp, then mix ketchup and horseradish yourself to give the cocktail sauce that homemade feeling.
