i am just curious

now that the wolfweb has gone corporate, how much and what parts of the wolfweb will be sold next. obviously there is money to be made on the easily manipulated minds of many of the users of the wolfweb

first, there was premium subscriptions.
then, there were advertisements

i can see in teh future, teh school tool possibly being sold to NC State. whether they use it or not, well, that's a different story. so, i am just curious as to how much money you are looking to make jacob, or whether it's just to "pay the bills" of the wolfweb, as you put it.

After all the time and effort im sure they put into creating the wolf web, if they make a profit from it then so be it. (as long as they dont make annoying as shit pop-up ads and require a fee for a membership)

and if you look at the traffic and all the free stuff that this site does like photo hosting it is amazing they can do all this on a college kids budget

and since they just graduated and neither have jobs I think it is amazing that they have any budget to run this thing

if you don't like them trying to make back all the money they have put into this site you should get the fuck out

That was funny as hell!

They have the right to charge for anything they want to. I'm personally glad about this, I paid for a regular membership since I am not actually a NCSU student and don't have a unity account. I enjoy the site and am willing to pay to use it. I'm getting a premium account soon so THERE!

http://portaldev.ncsu.edu/wolfweb/message.aspx <~ Doesn't CrazyJ/Joe have the code available to sell to anyone who wishes to use it?

The Point?

Hmmm... What ever happens, happens
As long as it doesn't compromise the original intent of the site...
Thats my only concern.
