Anyone know where I can get good fresh baked bagels? I used to go to a bakery down in Fayetteville years and years ago when I lived there. They'd have them fresh in the morning and people would line up out the door for them.

I am not talking Brueggers or equivalent here.

Brueggers makes them fresh and in store. I don't know what more you're looking for.

I assume you're talking about the place in the shopping center with Walmart and Harris Teeter at the intersection of Tryon and Kildaire Farm.

I can't believe you're bitching about Brueggers. I live in NYC and have my pick of awesome bagel places. And I have to say that Brueggers stacks up pretty well to them (at least the one on Avent Ferry)

no idea. people around here seemed like brueggers was the heat. in greenville boulevard bagel would sell fresh bagels and there was absolutely no comparisson. id like to hear of a decent place other than brueggers as well.

^^ no one is bitiching about brueggers... in fact, the opposite.

btw, bagels are one of the unhealthiest things man can eat.

The best bagels are accompanied by a lit up neon "HOT NOW" sign.

^ Ding Ding Ding

Every Wednesday at our staff meeting we have bagels from Panera Bread and I'll have a couple of those.

I know, thats why I HATE the fact that I love them so much. Sausage, egg, & cheese on a toasted everything bagel FTW.

The reason I said not Brueggers is because I'd rather support an independent baker before a chain store.
