What's up with that? Its not all women. But I know several that are always sick, or not feeling well, or have some other kind of undiagnosed illness.

Is it a fad that I don't know about or something?

It is definitely not attractive in the least.

That is the one thing that has changed since getting knocked up. I am rarely sick. Tired all the fucking time but not sick.

Yeah I don't know if they have feeble immune systems from not eating well and exercising, or if they just act like it's a calamity every time they have a little headache or need to blow their noses.

Maybe they have horrible coke habits that I don't know about. And the "sick" feeling during the day is really the result of going on a bender that kept them awake until 7 AM. And the runny nose is a result of a cut up nostril.

there's a woman at work who's always in late because she says she wasn't feeling well

she's been here for, like, 10 years...everyone just kind of expects it

3^ I think that has a lot to do with it. I have tried to eat better the last few years but I recently went hard core healthy.

I'm sick all the time, but I have a primary immune deficiency.

I actually get sick more often now that I go to the gym because I come in contact with more people. Apparently, health nuts still get their workouts in even when they're sick.

I know a few that are constantly complaining about excruciating stomach pain that goes completely undiagnosed. (One has a legit issue, so she's "cool") One in particular is at the dr at least twice a month

See, this topic pisses me the fuck off.

I work my ass off, 12 hour rotating shifts, I rarely sleep well, I still manage to lift weights and jog a minimum of 5 days a week even on 4 hours sleep, and my fucking joints are always hurting. I never call out sick, I never fucking complain about it, and if I dont feel well I suck it up and work anyways. I survived childhood cancer, and even when I was on chemo and bald, I sucked it up and went to school as best as I could as a damn 12 year old.

I hate these lazy fatasses who suffer from fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and all their other made up diseases. I hate them even more when they are on disability for it. I have seen autistic, down syndrome, and mentally handi-capped people working, I have seen people with Multiple sclerosis working, I have seen amputees and wheelchair bound people working.....what the fuck is these lazy fatasses excuse?

I know a few girls like that. A couple of them suffer from severe depression and use it as an excuse not to go out or have visitors. A couple are just plain attention whores and complain about being sick so people will take pity and show sympathy and affection.

One uses it to be a part of the world and the other uses it to escape it. The duality of the woman's mind....

On my Facebook these dumb bitches are also all military wives (except for one exceptionally redneck 1st grade teacher).

None of them work (surprise), except for one that tries to sell candles(?) or some shit on her FB wall.

I've got a friend that's always sick. Always. The other month she got a concussion, but didn't actually find out about it from a doctor till 3-4 days later when she was in for something else. She had been acting perfectly fine during those 3-4 days as well. But after finding out she had a concussion...she's been complaining for almost 2 months at this point.

I just...ignore it I guess.

^My mom worked for years as a teachers assistant while living with MS.

My wife pulls this shit quite a lot. Love her to death but its always, "My head hurts" or "I'm cold" or "I'm sore" "I'm tired" etc. Must be rough getting up at 6:00 and getting the kids ready to walk themselves to the bus and then hanging out until they get back from the bus, while you take care of a 900 sq. ft apartment. Then she bitches about how I don't appreciate that she unloaded the dishwasher, yet I've been at work all day and then come home and clean a room, take the trash out, get the mail, and go pick up dinner. Seriously?

She doesn't do that ALL the time, but she is one that is "sick" more often than not.

Lol. You and my husband should compare man notes.

My kids are at drop in childcare while I complain to my doctor. I'll pick up groceries that I ordered online on the way home and probably meet the lady that cleans my house on her way out the door.

My girlfriend is never really sick, and doesnt claim to be, but god damn she spends too much time on WebMD.

She reminds me of the old man holding the ipad in those DISH network commercials under the bed or in the treehouse.

"We gotta get outta here!"

"WE GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!"

*screams like woman*

there is no way the general population is sick even half the amount as some of these bitches.

A girl from my HS (who I'm Facebook "friends" with) whines CONSTANTLY about how much she's sick from whatever ailment. I called her out on it once by suggesting that she maybe had AIDS or a mold problem. Surprisingly, I didn't get unfriended for that (I think I framed it pretty innocently). A week later she was "sick" again so I took 20 minutes and went through the last 6 mos of her status updates and made a little calendar graphic highlighting all the days she complained about something relating to her health. It was approximately 2/3 of the days, and I'm sure there were multiple instances most days but I didn't get that detailed.

And not surprisingly most of these girls I know who do this also happen to have "sick" kids a lot. That we all get to hear about.

"fibromyalgia" is NOT a fake disease. It is however the most improperly self diagnosed disease in America.
You find me a high energy trophy wife with abandonment issues, and I'll show you someone who's diagnosed themself with fibromyalgia and is on every "catch all" medicine a doctor can prescriibe.
Prozac, Xanax, muscle relaxers, sleeping pills ect.

It's rarely unattractive women. The fat chicks just keep on keeping on, but miss skinny "omg you eat that? it's terrible for you!" is sick all the fucking time and it's because she knows better than the doctors because she watches House and CSI

oh yeah. When the fibromyalgia claim doesn't go well or has just gotten old, there always comes a point when "OMG MOLD" becomes a HUGE issue. As a group of creatures that "made our bones" shoving each other into fucking peat bogs, I imagine we're pretty fucking resiliant against spots of mold (which, surprise, is in EVERY house)

I'm fairly convinced it is made up 90% of the time, to get attention.

Either it's made up, or sick means something completely different to these girls. Like when any normal person would say "I'm unmotivated", or "i have gas", or "I just feel off center today", that's is when these girls would say OMG IM SICK!

What I can't understand is how anyone could possibly think that is an attractive trait to possess.

Fucking bonkers, yo.

Kids do spread germs like crazy: they're always putting things in their mouths

in fact, the year I got sick every month was the year I started my job

suddenly I was working with a lot of people with children under 3

Even if she's "sick" a lot, our kids are not. My oldest has perfect attendance this year and the youngest only missed a day because he got motion sickness on the bus and puked when he got off, so they sent him home. He has done that on occasion before on car trips, so not unbelievable.

Meanwhile her activities for the day include fixing dinner (can of green beans in a pot, garlic bread from a box, and heating up leftover store bought lasagna), cleaning the filter on the vacuum, unloading and reloading the dishwasher, and doing a load of laundry. Well loading, running and unloading it. I had to fold it and the kids and I put our stuff away. After I ran to the grocery store for milk, because we were out and she would have to "get ready" to go out. And I left something at work, so I drove back to the office to get it and drop some stuff off I had in the car. And now I'm sitting down to edit photos from the wedding I did last weekend and will do that for a couple hours and then go to bed and wake up at 5:00 and start again.

Also she has worried the snot out of several doctors trying to get something that will help her. They have tried anxiety meds, depression meds, energy meds, etc. Some stuff works for a couple days and then stops working or she has some issue with a side effect and has to discontinue it. Whether its mental (I think it is) or physical, I wish she would figure it out because its really frustrating. Especially since I grew up with a mother who faced a lot of adversity with real health problems who was so stubborn she didn't let them stop her. She got Hep C from a blood transfusion in the early 80s and also was diagnosed with MS when she was going back to nursing school. But she kept working, cleaned up after us growing up and even now still volunteers and goes to the gym every couple of days.

seriously, dude. Talk her into taking classes at the local community college and/or get her to join a SMALL church and do Women's Bible study activities.
Just get her OUT of the house for something other than spending money. Everyone, whether they like it or not, does better with more people around them.
