*More Photos in My Gallery

For the valuation I just had done:

Quote :
"This German company was set in 1999 and produces a very limited range of watches. This model comes in lady's and gentleman's sizes and the case is made in platinum. It is also made with quartz, automatic and hand wound movements. They are stylish and well made watches, but may not be to everyone's taste, so quite a limited market in my opinion."

Price is $4500 or best offer.

Is it the ladies or gentleman's size? What movement? What's the S/N?

For $texas, we deserve these details.

I did not. It was a gift but I never wear it and would like to sell it to fund a project, but I doubt anyone wants to buy this thing.

According to the paperwork its not "gender specific"

"What movement?"

No Idea. The paperwork with does everything but explain the technical aspects.

Not sure it has one.

So, you had a valuation done that told you the watch came with features, but doesn't know which features it has? I hope you didn't pay much for that.

You could try losing it and filing an insurance claim.

Don't fret, I didn't. These are like the most expensive watches that nobody knows about. The only reason I have one is because it was gift.

I wouldn't really call that stylish. It looks very plain, actually.

Out of the $4,500, $4,000 is for the platinum (case), the rest for the movement (which looks like quartz), leather, design, and labor.

Sucks to be stuck with that, knowing that it can get you lots of money, but is nearly impossible to sell. Your best bet is to search ebay, even ebay in a few European countries, and then put it up for a competitive price if you see other people selling it. Or put it up anyway, even if no one is selling it.

Search within the forums below, to see if there is any discussion about that brand name:

Post it for sale on the major watch forums...probably the only way to sell it.

Did it not come in the box? No paperwork?

If this is true, scrap it out.

Well, I was just guessing, because platinum is really expensive, about 3 times as expensive as gold.

Well I tracked down the original retailer of the watch in D.C.; they sent me an updated appraisal and the original specs which show it is not platinum (was starting to think it wasn't even though the first place said it was), but the stainless version.

Still to expensive for my tastes and I need to sell it to fund a gun purchase. MSRP is between $2400 (dealer in CA) and $2700 (dealer in Durham).

New Price is $1,000 or best offer

Also selling a Louis Vuitton backpack if anyone is interested.

^ you can get some amazing watches for $800 that actually look nice, and by nice I don't necessarily mean overly complicated and with multiple dials. Some nice Swiss automatics, and high-end Japan only Seikos and Citizens.
