first of all it was a road game against a team that is better than us

we let them hang less than 50 pts on us and we lost because we are horrible at taking the last shot

take this loss for what it's worth and shut up, the game was a lot closer than it should have been

let's take some positives from this game. one simmons is a monster down low, and we need to use him
when our 3 pt shooting goes cold. we played pretty good defense for most of the game. this loss
might help us. we can go back and look at the film and correct the mistakes that were exposed, which
helps us when we enter ACC play. we learned that Big Ten refs suck even more so than ACC refs.
Iowa has a sucky home atmosphere, especially when compared to the RBC Center. we learned that we
need to get better at making adjustments, and i'm guessing that Herb will make the guys practice some
free throw shooting. we learned that we can control the tempo of the game pretty well. we won't
have the big head since we'll probably drop from the rankings. if we can use this game as a learning
experience and bounce back big against our next big test, Alabama, then we might be able to have a
good year. more importantly it's one game, that's a non-conference one at that, so we shouldn't all
jump ship all of a sudden. bad games happen.

I was happy that we actually attempted to take it inside a few times when they were playing zone instead of chunking up 3 pointers.

and heck yea, ced's the man. like i said in an earlier thread when everybody was talkin crap a/b him...once he becomes aggressive with the ball, hes gonna be a beast...unfortunately, someone wants our players to jack up threes instead of doing what's working.

If you go back and watch the replay, you can see Herb yelling at the ref for a TO with about 4,5 seconds left in the game. That's what he was bitching about after the buzzer sounded.

I think this has affected Brackman's shot. He was money at the free throw line last year and has struggled so far this year. I have yet to see him hit a 3 although he keeps shooting outside. One day he is gonna realize he needs some post moves like that last one he made and got the tip back and foul.
