Somehow I missed this.

I don't really like Destroyer, either.

I'm almost ashamed that my second favorite song on the latest New Pornos record is a Bejar song.

I'm sure a lot of you have seen this site before, but I've spent the afternoon catching up on videos I've missed and need to re-iterate how awesome it is: Takeaway Shows - http://www.blogotheque.net/cae_tous_les_concerts_en.php3

if you look closely in the takeaway show for Beirut, you can see Will Sheff (<3) playing guitar!

I wondered where he was because I saw that he was thanked in the end credits. There is an Okkervil River one on there as well. The Architecture in Helsinki one may be the most fun, and Vampire Weekend is pretty great as well.

Coming up for me!:

03-17 - Tilly And The Wall - 506
04-21 - Cloud Cult - 506
04-27 - Destroyer - CC
05-24 - Silver Mt. Zion - GE

I really want to make that Silver Mt. Zion show. My moms been to that place numerous times to see bands play. If I remember right Hold Steady and Explosions played there last year too.

I'll have to think about that show. I went to last years Tnt/Annuals show as well and I enjoyed it but it wasn't anything amazing. I'll have to hear the new CD before I can decide.

^ were you at the last show they played at the Cradle about a month back?

I sensed a lack of energy at that show, too...

Although, the Cradle crowds have been so lame the last couple of years, I can hardly blame a band for underperforming. It seems like a lot of people stand there like mute zombies and expect to be entertained.

at least the mute zombie ones don't drunkenly flair their arms into me, spilling beer all over my shirt

the best crowd I've ever seen there was for Tilly and the Wall and Pony up! last year, everyone was cheering and having a grand old time

Good point...

I like a happy medium, myself.

Also, I'm not one to talk. When I went to see The National, I was one of the mute zombies in the back, even though I thoroughly enjoyed the show.

I like to say I was just "in awe". haha

I have Bury the Square, but have yet to listen to it. I've just had so much other stuff on my plate, and when I saw "6 tracks/40 minutes", I was scared, haha.

I have heard nothing but good things about that record.
