So my Kamado grill is supposed to work in sub freezing temps since its insulated. It will be tested tonight.

seen this story before.....It has been 45-50 degrees all damn day. So over the course of the next couple hours, the temperature is going to drop 15-20 degrees and they expect me to believe that snow is going to stick well enough for 1-3 inches? Get outta here. Temps haven't been below freezing in a while. Whatever falls is going to disintegrate upon impact.

Here is what I said in the other thread:

A lot of people will write off because it is raining right now and will be through tonight. The problem is when the changeover occurs it will be pretty quick and shortly after people will find themselves in pretty impressive snow rates from triangle westward. The snow will come in a quick shot over just a few hours with the deformation band in association with the upper level low. In the heaviest bands thundersnow is possible. As people said the ground is warm, it is wet and the air isn't that cold. With that in mind some will get a lesson tonight in what dynamical cooling can do and how heavy snow rates can overcome warm soil and wet ground.

Yeah, the reason the current warm ground temp doesn't matter as much is because its a fast front with snow that will come down quickly

1.) the warm ground temp matters
2.) we're not getting any snow
3.) you still have to do whatever it was you were going to do tomorrow morning because tonight won't mean a blasted thing
4.) we're not getting any snow

At least you got overtime. At corning we came in out of the goodness of our hearts. Hell for me it cost $10 in gas to drive in. Yet operations would bitch when engineering did not come in at the slightest problem.

Looks like the cold air will get to Raleigh right as the large portion of precip moves out. If only it had been cold enough 2 hours ago.

Hey-Oh, it's snowing again. There's some accumulation on the top of my trash can lid outside, in Trailwood.

We actually got right much in Franklinton compared to Raleigh. My truck doors were frozen shut and it took me awhile took get enough snow and ice off of it to get it out. Had like 2 inches on the windshield.

Damn anti-climactic snow. There was some ice/snow mix on top of my car but that's about it. Heading to mountains tomorrow to hopefully see some real snow.
