Watch the cop get off completely or mostly based on some technicality or a "I was scared for my life" defense.

If that happens, Chicago will burn.

If he had shot him once or twice then maybe just maybe someone could argue that, but come on that kid was down there is no way to justify shooting him 16 times. If the kid was carrying a gun and aimed it at the officers then sure maybe, but that wasn't the case here.

Quote :
"“He’s got a 100-yard stare. He’s staring blankly,” [Fraternal Order of Police spokesman Pat] Camden said of the teen. “[He] walked up to a car and stabbed the tire of the car and kept walking.”

Officers remained in their car and followed McDonald as he walked south on Pulaski Road. More officers arrived and police tried to box the teen in with two squad cars, Camden said. McDonald punctured one of the squad car’s front passenger-side tires and damaged the front windshield, police and Camden said.

Officers got out of their car and began approaching McDonald, again telling him to drop the knife, Camden said. The boy allegedly lunged at police, and one of the officers opened fire.

Camden said a knife was recovered from the scene. A statement from Police News Affairs said no officers were injured.

Camden said none of the officers who responded had a Taser to use on the teen and were trying to detain him long enough for one to arrive. He said officers were forced to defend themselves."

^^^ cop could say he thought he had a gun but it turned out to be a knife.

i mean, i hope he goes to jail for life, but enough cops have gotten away with plain murder, so i am just trying to figure out how he could get away.

He will get off because memories wont be sharp after like 2 years and when two witnesses conflict just a little there will be reasonable doubt. Thats why they wait as long as possible to release the video.

police should be required to carry 5 million dollars of personal malpractice insurance so that when they kill people, the community doesn't have to be the ones paying the family off.

34K a year won't exactly get you politically sensitive employees

Take half of what you use in prison funds to pay cops better, train them better and expect much more from them

yeah under my police reform, you won't need as many police officers, and you can pay them more, require more education and get more effective policing from them.

So #BLM in Minneapolis and Chicago getting the justice they demanded and deserve (if the Minneapolis witness accounts are true) yet they are still causing major disruptions.

Maybe they want a special black tribunal that will head a circus trial that will condemn the officers to 100 hours of diversity lectures before being hung.

could you tell me about this justice you're speaking about? All I've heard about the last few days is how they just arrested an officer for murdering a kid a year ago because the judge ruled they HAD TO release a video to the public that revealed him shooting 16 times for no reason. That is pretty much what the whole BLM movement is about in a nutshell. If anyone else was murdered, there would have been charges and video release a year ago.

[Edited on November 26, 2015 at 1:10 AM. Reason : if the judge didn't make that ruling by chance, no charges would've ever been filed]

"says he saw a suspect "pick up an object and stick it down in his waistband" as he arrived outside a Cleveland recreation center with his partner on November 22, 2014. He says he yelled "show me your hands" as loudly as he could. And he says he thought the suspect "appeared to be over 18 years old and about 185 pounds" and was pulling out a real gun."

So racist that the mean bigot cop thought just because the suspect was black that obviously the object that was slyly placed into his belt was a real gun and not a toy pistol
Not that a lovely peaceful community like Cleveland has a gang problem or anything

A Hispanic American waitress at a Mexican restaurant today told me she didn't like where she lived previously in South Central LA. When inquiring why she said it was dangerous. Too many "blacks breaking into cars and commiting gang violence"she claimed. I was SOOO offended by her lack of sensitivity towards to oppressed African-American community in LA, assuming they are responsible for these criminal acts. This bigot doesn't understand the the few real criminals are just innocent individuals that have been marginalized into commiting crimes as part of their struggle and are truly the real victims AM I RITE ?

This mexican-american woman should be sent to sensitivity training

I think that is half of the problem right there.

My question with the Tamir Rice case is why did they drive right up to him if they thought he was such a threat?

Yeah had they simply pulled up and parked in a normal fashion and got out I am sure the kid would have very quickly let them know that it was a fake gun or something. Been a while since I saw the video but I seem to remember one of the guys jumping out of the vehicle and having fired almost before his feet even hit the ground.

On a side note my kid had a toy pistol cap gun that looks obviously fake he was outside playing with. I went outside and he was pointing it at cars as they drove by yelling bang bang. My first thought should have been well that's fun he is outside playing having a good time not inside playing video games. Instead, it was to go outside and tell him he could not be out in the yard pointing it at people or cars driving by because if a cop drove by they could mistake it for a real gun and shoot back at you. It was sad to realize that this had to be what entered my mind.

This guy was exiting his vehicle after an accident and the cop shot him in the neck. No charges filed even though the cop did not report the gun shot or report the guy needed medical attention for a gun shot. He called in that he had a "male in the car refusing to get out" and did not mention he just shot him in the neck.

So basically the citizen is facing charges for the negligent death of his wife, but the cop faces no charges for paralyzing an unarmed man who had just been in a traumatic accident.

That cop lost his grandfather to a drunk driver. Vengeance for him means chasing drunk drivers until they crash and then shooting them in the neck.
I'm pretty sure he was standing around looking for shell casings. The other officers did not know the man had been shot until paramedics arrived.

Nobody cares including the media because the suspect/victim was white. Doesn't play into the bigot racist cops hate and shoot innocent black people narrative. If the suspect had been black all hell would have broke loose.

Where is #BLM on this wrongful death, guess only black lives matter.

^^ I don't like feeding the troll, but he's right. The news media doesn't give a crap because the victim is white. BLM could make themselves appear more legitimate by bringing attention to this one (and win supporters, too, might I add), but they won't.

Its obviously a bigger situation for blacks but i also agree blm could have made more of an impact making it about bad policing instead of black lives. Both can be true

This one is worse than pretty much anything BLM has complained about so far. Michael Brown? Please. Tamir Rice, while totally messed up, at least had something resembling a gun and the cops approached with that in mind. Freddie Gray is messed up, but there's no smoking-gun video. This one? Holy crap.

Do you disagree? I can't think of ANY of the BLM complaints that are worse than this one. Dude is crawling out of a vehicle after a wreck and gets shot in the neck and paralyzed. The general circumstances behind Freddie Gray are about as bad as this one, but there's room for argument about what happened in his case (none of it all that legitimate, but still). Aside from the fact that this guy "survived," what makes you think it isn't a far more egregious case than any of the ones BLM has focused on?

It's almost as if police brutality is a societal issue we all need to address with body cameras and accountability??? No, let's just make martyrs out of thugs that deserved it so we can add a racial divide and bitch with hashtags.

The thing about the cameras is even when we have footage no action is taken.

Victims only can resort to civil courts, which does not serve as a deterrent for officers since the taxpayers end up paying for their misdeeds...not the actual officer.

I think thats crap the threat of being fired or prosecuted holds people accountable, being protested against is an inconvenience for the leadership and only works on the cases that attract lots of attention. It is a broken system.
