are they no longer open? 2/16/2010 9:33:36 PM |

Char-Grill is still open, and is excellent, but you can't beat places like The PR and Raleigh Times that grind on site and can order medium rare or rare or whatever. 2/16/2010 9:38:22 PM |

Isn't burger king the king of burgers? So confused.
Seriously, though, Hubert Keller's Burger Bar in Vegas has the best burger. 2/16/2010 9:50:52 PM |

Char-Grill and Five Guys own. MoJoe's, Red Robin, and Cloos' are also quite nice.
Haven't tried Raleigh Times, Uncle Fatty's, Abbey Road (where is that anyway) or the Federal.

For the Times I can believe that, but you're saying the PR grinds on site? Really? Have they always done that? Granted the last time I had a burger there was probably 4-5 years ago, but I don't remember it being anything special, or them asking how I wanted it cooked.2/17/2010 11:19:19 AM |

I haven't had an actual burger in a very long time, however bison and turkey burgers are pretty incredible in their own right. 3/9/2010 11:56:02 PM |

Buffalo Burger from Foothill Brewery in Winson-Salem.
called such because it is made with real buffalo meat (not because it has any buffalo wing sauce in it). the buffalo meat is the best tasting meat i have ever tasted on a burger. it was 100% delicious and would recommend it to anyone who wants a good burger in winston. 4/25/2010 7:45:42 PM |

When I was a cook, I once had a customer tell me I cooked him the best burger he had ever eaten. Back when Andy's used different meat, it was a triple bacon burger...and I guess all the way with mustard onions chili slaw.
I miss those burgers 4/25/2010 7:53:43 PM |

Simple but tasty. There really isn't a place in Wilmington where I would say has incredibly good burgers though. 4/25/2010 8:17:11 PM |

Village Draft House has the tastiest burgers in Raleigh IMHO, followed by Abbey Road. Five Guys probably has the best burger of any fast-food style restaurant around here. 4/25/2010 11:14:40 PM |

the baconater from wendy's is the cruelest bitch on this planet. every time i see the picture of it on the menu, i get tricked into ordering it. but then i get it and the bacon is transparent and the grease comes through the bag. it is always terrible. but the picture on the menu. is soooo beautiful. i keep getting tricked into ordering it again. 4/26/2010 12:31:27 AM |
