On-demand tickets for next Friday are up...I claimed a ticket, but I'm very confused, since I went through a request period and it said I would recieve notification today. When I didn't recieve notification, I just checked the website and could claim a ticket on-demand...what's going on? Did "requesting a ticket" the other day actually *do* anything?

and if it makes u feel any better, ive been to every football game this year and wanted to make it to last fridays game, but couldnt b/c of other things i had to do. I will make it to as many games as possible this year.

knitchic- I also signed up for a ticket friday but the system was messed up or something and acted like there was going to be a lottery. I signed up again on saturday and it gave me a ticket since it didn't even show that I had requested one.

you can sit anywhere in the RBC center other than the actual floor seats in front of the student section on the sidelines. Apparently those seats are reserved.

I was penalized under the system glitching. Please fix this. I'm planning on going to many of the basketball games this year and don't want to be penalized for a computer program messing up.

My period of claiming a ticket that was in my cache [your tickets], was later removed, therefore I assumed I had to add a ticket back into [your tickets], apparently that one had a different bar code or something, then got fucked on the penalty system...

say what? claim the ticket or print the ticket? it should only be in the "your tickets" area if you have already claimed it. once you request one, you have to go to "request/claim ticket" to claim it.



are you saying that you requested a ticket and won in the lottery but never claimed it. so you got another ticket during on-demand and it penalized you?

Yeah, really not sure what's happening to some of you....the system is working, but somehow some people get weird messages or occurances

and it doesn't help that the people running this are taking 18 hours of classes and 2 jobs and this is a side thing that everyone thinks we drop everything for


given that, here's what I can say about bball so far

All future games past the two exhibition games will have one round of lottery followed by on-demand for any leftover tickets.
All students must enter through west gate (and don't start up about this...it's the metal detectors that slow you, not the scanners
There will be no more general admission seating past the exhibition games
You can form a "small group" in the same way you did for football
No "large groups" allowed
Ask anything else, since I'm not thinking right this morning and probably forgot everything

Can you talk to the RBC Center people and have them not scream at us halfway across the parking lot that we have to have our tickets and student IDs? It felt like we were three years old with everyone screaming instructions at us. "HAVE YOUR STUDENT IDS AND TICKETS OUT. GET EVERYTHING OUT OF YOUR POCKETS! YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO OPEN THAT BAG, YOUNG LADY!" Yeah, these are important messages to be conveyed. They can be said politely but firmly without screaming (and starting screaming when you're fifty feet away doesn't help us understand any better). I've never had any of the security staff treat me like that at a gate for the RBC Center for any event - and I go to a *lot* of hockey and basketball games.

A second metal detector line would be great, if you can sweet talk someone into that as well. Lines seemed jammed up a half hour before tipoff, so I can't imagine what it'll be like ten minutes before tipoff* once we hit the ACC part of the schedule.

*not that I ever arrive a mere ten minutes before tipoff, I'd just like to see the students who get there later be safe

How are we supposed to do small group seating for next weekend's basketball games? When I registered for a ticket for the Stetson game it didn't ask for a Unity ID of a group leader anywhere.

When can we register for tickets for the Citadel and Delaware games? It shows on the ticket site that it should have opened at 12:01 today and on the distribution schedule it shows that it should have opened on Nov. 7.

Also the game on Wednesday November 23 is VMI at NC State, not VMI at Delaware.

Lahyde, I am not complaining and I understand you have to take care of classes just like the rest of us do. Just wanted to let you know about the problems.

^y, getting up early wasn't supposed to get you any advantage before. Tickets were supposed to be random back then. Granted . . . that doesn't mean they were. Now, they are just making it how it was supposed to be. Taking the corruption out of the system. I fail to see the problem.

If you lose the lottery, you can still find people who got tickets that don't want to go and use those. Or if you are lucky, you can get the ones that previously would have been unused from on-demand.



oh, is it true that there are guest tickets for all Bball games except UNC and Wake? will the price be the same for them?

With all these games, logging on and claiming tickets after youve already requested them is sort of a pain. Also, is the system working where it will deduct the charge from my credit card since I didnt get on and claim them in time??

Student parking is behind the Vaughn Towers. It is free, show student id to person at road to get in.

^what do you mean claim? This game was on demand only. There is no requesting (in terms of for a lottery) / claiming for this game. Should be just log on, click request ticket, have ticket, print ticket. If you you requested a ticket for this game and did not print it off at the time, then go to "Your Tickets" and click print. Oh, if it is somethign that you have paid for, then you have a ticket. Look under "your tickets". If you don't have one there, it shouldn't have charged you anything. When did you request your ticket?
