The ticket image the website uses is the same as the old paper student tickets. On a paper guest ticket, a little "ADMIT ONE" type ticket would be stapled over that sentence. No biggie. 12/7/2005 11:04:01 PM |

About the student ID required with guest ticket - I haven't had a guest yet this year, but I know in the past they required a guest ticket holder to enter with a student using a student ticket and a student ID. In the past, my football block had a few alums who had to arrive closer to kickoff than the rest of the group, so we planned to meet in the stadium...but they wouldn't let them through the gates without students. Luckily they were able to find some obliging students to let them go in with them. For basketball, I know they've actually asked my guest which student they were with and checked my ticket and ID before letting them enter (in years past). Perhaps that's what they mean by it? 12/8/2005 1:18:54 AM |

Is there anyway to e-mail a student ticket to someone? One of the guests I have using a ticket won't get to the game until about 1:30 and I plan on being in there much earlier to get a good seat.
Is there anyway to get the ticket to him over the internet? Or Can I leave it at Will Call? Or what?
Thanks 12/9/2005 5:37:01 PM |

When you open the ticket so you can print it, do "Save Page As" and email that to him.
or
give him your log in info and have him go on the website and print it. If you do this, you should prolly change your password to something easy and then change it back to your normal password once he prints it. Although, some people just don't care who has their password and would just give out their normal one. 12/9/2005 6:07:26 PM |

Rant on:
I really wish they could change the ticket policy for basketball tickets. If you're a student, and there are tickets still available after all the on-line stuff gets done, then those tickets should be available at the window on a first-come first serve basis. It's absoluelty rediculous that a student, has to pay to get into the RBC if there are hundreds of student seats not getting picked up ahead of time.
There's a huge difference in the time commitment to go to a basketball game vs. a football game. Football you know is going to be an all-day affair, and it's rarely a snap decision to go. Basketball is at most three hours, usually at night, that you can easily justify if you have a few hours to kill.
I'm OK with the on-line system except for this. This is just silly. What's the worst thing that can happen? We fill up some more seats and buy more concessions?
Rant off. 12/10/2005 2:11:25 PM |

^^just passing on part of the reason
The worry is that it will turn into everyone waiting until the last minute to get a ticket, and causing the tracking system not to work. eventually they want to move to a reward based system, and not being able to track people would hurt that, and we would never be able to track how many students are expected at each game...plus, some student tickets are put up for sale when they have so many left over, and that only works when you can plan ahead w/ the online system 12/10/2005 4:26:11 PM |
Johnny Swank All American 1889 Posts user info edit post |
This will probably be a moot point once we get into the meat of the ACC games, but we haven't been anywhere close to selling out any basketball games thus far. Rewards are a good incentive and all, but if there are student seats available at game time a student should be able to get in. Hell, I'd argue that students should be able to get into any seats available at least on the upper level if they're available at tip-off.
Not shooting the messenger though. I know where you're coming from. 12/10/2005 5:55:14 PM |

Alright...for the bowl game..
In the Gator Bowl, I remember picking up tickets with our tickets already assigned and all that good stuff.
For this, will it be the same way? I'm still not too sure as to how it's working. Will the tickets already be pre-done and handed out? Or will there just be a roll of tickets, you'll show up, they'll take out however many you ordered, put them in an envelope, and hand em over?
Just trying to find out if I have to make a heavy duty effort to show up at the first will-call if that's the only way to get the best seats. 12/12/2005 11:42:47 AM |

I need 4 guest tickets and 3 student tickets together. Any idea how I could do this since you can only claim 1 guest per student. It looks right now like my only choice is to buy them all from the wolfpack club at regular rates so we can sit together. Gay. 12/12/2005 12:58:48 PM |

is there ANY WAY to get student tickets on the day of the game?
like for football games where all of the tickets aren't claimed they have a period to get the surplus tickets....
how about for b-ball? 12/18/2005 12:39:13 PM |
hondaguy All American 6409 Posts user info edit post |
the on-demand period is where you can claim any unclaimed tickets. The on-demand period goes until noon the day before the game.
for football and basketball. They system is essentially the same. The only 2 differences are that for basketball the time frames are shorter, and there is only 1 lottery instead of 2. 12/18/2005 4:28:53 PM |

you go to vaughn towers between dec. 27-29 between 8:00am-5:00pm and trade them in---first come first serve you can take up to six vouchers and IDs at the same time
or there are a number of other times closer to bowl game time...check the ticket website, and on the left column there is a link entitled "Bowl Game Distribution" with exact official details...read the bottom of the PDF for "student ticket info" 12/20/2005 7:07:22 PM |

if it is under summary . . . there should be like 5 rows for whatever reason. 3 for Football and 2 for basketball. The bottom two should have 3 for basketball and 2 for football, not that football matters now. Don't worry about the other ones that have a 0 or -1. 12/24/2005 9:14:36 PM |

^^works for me just fine
For Bowl Tickets, it isn't actually in Vaughn Towers. It is under them, there is a box office there at whatever gate it says on the website.
For the people who it says that no more tickets are available, did you request a ticket during the request period or are you just trying to get one now? Because this is the claim period from the lottery, once that is over on-demand should open and any leftover tickets will be given out.

i did request during the request period for the GW game. I also got an email confirming the request. It also said that i would receive an email today, which i havent received. When i go to claim my ticket it just says, "Claim period begins blah etc" But it is only text, not linked. So, I can't claim my ticket.
