The question didn't begin with "in a stateless society". Under today's system, you're a sociopath. You can be President of the United States or CEO of [insert worst private company here]. What do you choose and why?

I choose the job that gives me absolute control over the U.S. military and its entire arsenal. You can't get more power than that. You can threaten literally any person or group and get what you want, and there is no chance that you will suffer any personal consequences, financial or otherwise. In fact, there is no chance that you will spend the rest of your life in anything less than complete comfort and protection.

Naw, B.

The president doesn't wield that much power. If he did, we would see drastic changes every time a new personality entered office, rather than a carbon-copy of the guy who held the same position four years prior.

^^ you claimed that there was no point trying o change government, that we should throw the whole thing out. Then you offered no alternate plan. Then I showed you that a world ruled by corporations would be no different, and even worse, in order to demonstrate that there is a point to trying to fix the current system.

if you want to ever be taken seriously you need to occasionally frame your ideas in the reap world, offer real.world applications of what they would look like.

Haha, okay. So there is chance you'll have a fall from grace, but that seems less and less likely with the passive American population. George Bush caused the deaths of 100,000 or more, and where is he now?

Saw a lot of candidates and political stuff at pride today. The NC Libertarian party has apparently started tabling there. I've also seen more press releases from them in the past few years that have been LGBT issue oriented.

I recall seeing a lot of people in Ron Paul t-shirts back during the rallies against amendment 1, but it seems like they've stepped up from reactive opposition to restrictive legislation to actively recruiting and building their party within the LGBT community, which was kind of cool to see.
