you have a point nastoute. that game burned me, is all. killed my love life, crapped on my career for a solid year, and just wracked my social one. I did have leet level 60 geared toons (pre TBC) doing all sorts of what was then end game content, but now i look back and feel really bad about what i had done. Sometimes I think if I didn't roll a pally I wouldn't have found it nearly as boring as I did. lol.

I think it's fair to say I'm an addict for games in general, that keeps screaming to remind himself that the grass is greener and not to fall into the temptation. Like I can't just play and parcel..i don't understand those that can do it - it's either 100% full monte basement dwellin' cloudsongin' or responsible gamer and allococater of time.

deathknight is a hero class, no info on unlocking yet. The opening ceremony was kind of lame because they didn't release any new information. Just stuff already rumored over the past couple of days. Waiting for the expansion developer panel to start here I a few minutes.

When i say the game burned me, I know WOW didn't force me to play...but the format of the game and universe is so necessary on expending tons of damn time to do end content through farming, grinding, and raids and gear to be competitive. I didnt realize it at first but slowly dawned on me that it was all bait to keep you chugging along. All for the 'lootz' for what its worth in the end.

Arthas/The Lich King is the main bad guy they introduced in Warcraft III. However, just because you kill him doesn't mean the end of WoW. They can always add more lore. Even within' the existing lore, he his hardly the most powerful entity in the Warcraft universe. There are the Dragon Aspects, the Titans, and all sorts of demons from other dimensions that would wipe the floor with Arthas. I'd imagine the next thing after Arthas would be the titans and their plan to reshape the world, as was hinted from some of the very early quests around Uldaman.

The main badasses would be the aforementioned Dragon Aspects (the main ones, not their offspring), the Old Gods (C'Thun and the other 4 still living), and the Titans ,Sargeras chiefly although others could be thrown in as plot twists...

Sargeras would be it, the end of WoW... they won't do that until it's time to throw away the franchise

I mean look, they pulled the whole Ahn'Qiraj and C'thun thing completely out of their ass, as there was no previous reference to the War of the Shifting Sands in any of the existing lore. They are definitely not beyond just making up new stuff. Everquest expansions just started having you go to different planets and shit.

deathknight is a tanking dps hybrid. Doesnt need a shield to tank, can duel weild or use a two hander. Uses the rune system instead of a standard energy/mana/rage system. Any class can do the quest to unlock the deathknight, it doesnt change your current character, just lets you mqke a deathknight character, which will start fairly high (somewhere between 55 and 70). Flying mounts still not usable on the part of azeroth in game now, only usable on northrend.

Like shrike said there is still a ton of content left to explore. Plus since this is a work of FICTION they can akways come up with more.

well the devs just said that the deathknight isn't supposed to be more powerful just another option; but from the looks of it the deathknight is going to be way overpowered. Able to tank without a shield, dps, cast spells, summon small armies of minions.

they haven't shown many of the frozen zones yet, they didn't want the entire xpac under snow, that would definitely get boring after a while. There are still at least 6 zones they haven't show that can be fully frozen if they want. I'm glad its not all frozen, I actually didnt like winterspring and alterac that much.

If anyone has seen the class discussion from the 2005 blizzcon this one was practically the same except the hero class segment. The questions people asked were fucking awful. There were only a couple that should have been given the time.

Oh yeah, the capital city is going to be dalaran, it'll be floating over northrend in the middle.
