Last season, you said there was no way the Patriots would beat the Steelers in the playoffs, offering us pages of statistics why you were right. Annnnd you were wrong.

Then you said, of course the Patriots were going to beat Indy this season, they had beaten them six straight times and were playing at home. Annnnd you were wrong.

Then you were ridiculously confident that the Steelers would beat the Colts. Annnnd the Steelers got their asses kicked.

And in between all of this, you keep saying stupid shit like, an underdog has a 50/50 chance to win and "there's a 31/32 chance that the steelers aren't going to win the super bowl every year."

I'm sure the one time that you finally get something right (however long THAT will take), you'll be thumping your chest. Then you'll be referred back to this thread.

it was clear that the colts were the better team last night. i was confident that the colts weren't going to make it through their past two games and remain unbeaten, but i was obviously wrong about that. and say what you want, but there is no such thing as a sports "guru" that is always 100% right, so stop treating all your odds you get off your sports betting sites like they're the fucking gospel.
Lil G, if you think you know so much more about sports than i do, post who you think will win each game every week and i'll do the same. we'll see who gets the most right. if you want to do it based on the lines instead of straight up win/loss we can do that too. just post the lines each week and we'll see who picks the most right. i mean, clearly you should kick my ass at picking winners since you know so much more about sports than i do.

and i'm talking about you bashing my "prediction" that the steelers have a 31/32 chance of losing the super bowl every year. that comment was more of a point against the official odds than it was an actual prediction anyway. if you look at what the super bowl odds that are posted at the beginning of each season are, and compare that to the actual winners of the super bowl, how often is the team with the highest "odds" that early on actually the winner? my guess is not very often.

i don't want to get a bankroll from gambling on sports, because it's addicting, and it's too unstable. i mean just reading through the sports betting thread i see you talking about making $200 there, losing $500 there, making $100, whatever. i don't have that kind of money to be throwing around

yeah two games is all it took to prove how much "smarter" you are than me when it comes to sports. gg picking two teams that were heavily favored to win (patriots last year, colts this year) against me picking my team, the steelers. i would never bet on a game the steelers were involved in, because i always believe they will win. as a fan, i'm incapable of anything less.

i'll bet my ability to post in sports talk for a month against your ability to post in sports talk for a month, effective immediately after the end of the NFL regular season. we pick every game each week based on the spreads. i'll let you pick what day you want to use the spreads from, and when you want the picks to be posted by.

post where i said i thought the patriots would win. i hate the patriots, i wouldnt have picked them to beat the colts, but i didn't make a pick that game because i didn't feel strongly about either team winning. the colts had a bad streak of losses against the patriots, but a good streak of wins coming into that game, so it was a close call at the time.
