The fake Times Magazine was up at 7 different courses FFS. That's beyond narcissistic.

Today he hates on Washington Post after citing them the last few days but when it is convenient for him: "Fake News"

What the hell is wrong with this guy?

The craziest part of that tweet is that he doesn't watch anymore. Like that is fooling anyone.

He's probably doing quite the large amount of damage to the GOP as a whole in the long run.

But, the rank and file GOP congressmen can't do anything or say anything about it because his base (and a large part of their constituencies) will NEVER abandon him. That's what a cult of personality is.

If his ardent supporters on here can't understand why these latest tweets are horrible things, then there is no hope for them.

And I can't believe that official WH responses are "He's just fighting back, you punch him he punches back 10 times harder."

Official. White House. Responses.

He's the most insecure person I've ever seen in public life. He had the sads because he thought they were his friends and lashed out. Not the first time he's done that. Won't be the last.

I actually feel more pity than disgust when he does these things. It's gotta be a rough way to go through life.

What's weak is expressing perpetual outrage over everything Trump does regardless of if it is good or bad.

You hacks have been at 11/10 on the "outrage" meter since Trump won. You have no more credibility to criticize and nowhere left to escalate to. What is Trump's incentive to not defend himself on Twitter? Regardless of what he does, good or bad, you hacks are perpetually outraged. At least with these tweets it is entertaining and panders to his base.

It isn't presidential, but if the partisan press doesn't respect the office, why bother.

I don't think anyone here is outraged.

Just humiliated by the person chosen to lead our country. The person that is supposed to be the best of the best. Who is choosing to make statements on a platform of 120 characters or less, that degrade the physical appearance of someone.

I would agree with you, if you showed equal disappointment with our media.

Just as our POTUS is not supposed to be a douche, our media isn't supposed to be biased propaganda misleading the public. It is a war between the two.

I'm more concerned about the fake news... most Americans are completely blind to the partisan bias influencing everything they see.

Also that sentiment is not even true. When he acts even remotely presidential/rational (such as staying vaguely on topic and reading from a teleprompter for an hour) he gets praised even from the left. After his first speech to congress they were saying "tonight he actually became the president" and "tonight he may have just won a second term"

But yes, when he says ridiculous outrageous things, he gets outrageous reaponses

I watch Morning Joe a lot. They have the most accurate insight into how things are working, the inner workings of the admin, and a ton of contacts. But Mika has been trolling Trump for a while. These comments are just the ones that set him off.

I dont like it when she does it. But the President needs to be learning and not watching TV. Hes turning the government into a reality TV show.

I might be scared how true that statement is.

It may be true that even CNN can't put a negative spin on the president honoring a fallen soldier. Also the quote "actually became president" is an insult implying he wasn't presidential earlier.

He is the leader of the free world, and he's letting himself get bogged down with someone's opinion. Someone on tv. The president of the United States is criticizing a TV show. Just let that sink in. Every minute of his 8 hour day should be spent reading potential legislation, foreign affairs briefings, security briefings, meeting with diplomats, hosting meetings with CEO's in order to foster job growth, combing through budgets.

But he's tweeting about a TV show and its actors.

Look, I criticized Obama when he stuck his nose into local issues that involved race, such as Zimmerman and Michael Brown. I thought that was a form of micromanaging that a president shouldn't engage in.

But this? This takes the cake.

I was one of the biggest criticizers of Obama on this board throughout his tenure, I'm sure. And Trump is making me long for those days.

Being Presidential is the dumbest fake metric out there. Clinton wasn't being Presidential while getting blown in the Oval Office and JFK wasn't when he was fucking interns in the White House pool. No one should care if they oversee a good economy, represent the country and its people well and act like humans outwardly.

Republicans join in the criticism

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40438214

But wow:

Quote :
"Amid an outpouring of criticism from left and right, the White House rejected suggestions Mr Trump had done anything wrong.

"The president has been attacked mercilessly on personal accounts by members on that programme," deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told a news briefing.

"And I think he's been very clear that when he gets attacked he's going to hit back.

"The American people elected someone who's tough, who's smart and who's a fighter.

"And that's Donald Trump. And I don't think that's a surprise to anybody that he fights fire with fire.""

you can be passionate, show your human side, and still be presidential. imo it's something we're severely lacking these days. people like Weiner and Grayson (minus the scandals)

the problem with Trump is he's only passionate about defending himself and attacking other people

and it's still gross to see that take

arguing against the President speaking on matters of the day that go on in the country he is the head of is absurd

especially given what's happened with issues regarding police and race since those comments were made

the obvious difference between your examples and our current joke in office is that those things were done in private, while this dude is doing this as publicly as possible. your two examples also weren't embarrassments on a world scale

What is "gross" is to see how oblivious you are... there hasn't been a sudden increase in cops murdering black people... there has been a sudden increase in the leftist media and democrats trying to sensationalize any case with a black victim, however. And you gullible hacks eat it right up.

Who gets shot by cops is completely proportionate with how much violent crime they commit... this has been consistent for decades. Yet despite this, after electing a black president, race relations are suddenly WORSE?

0.00001% of thugs resisting arrest get shot, but if we sensationalize the 1 anecdote enough, we have a narrative and can bitch about "racism" convince every minority they are a "victim" and pander for votes as we push our socialist bullshit.

The National Enquirer thing from that video is amazing.

The MSNBC thing. Why don't you care that a President is doing this. I mean, do you see no connection with his actions and who he is as a person and therefor President. Deciding how regulations and laws affect you, your family, and your country?

That's why GOP governance is a complete clusterfuck. They have no idea how to govern but definitely know how to get their base fearful of the boogeyman liberals out to get them.

To be fair, Clinton's campaign was similar and that's why she lost. You cant out-scare American conservatism.

^^ It's pretty clear that they'll run cross checks between state voter databases, find every single person with similiar names, people with similiar names to dead people, people with similiar names to felons, etc and then breathlessly exclaim that "zomg 20% of the nation voted in multiple states!!!!!!

Then reporters will dig into the report and find, "oh wait, there actually are multiple John Smiths that voted."

And of course the right will still cling to the report as PROOF!!!!!

I'd like to know how much money Kobach has made in his career repeating the above scenario over and over. Just another guaranteed grift.

Trump spouts an obvious lie about voter fraud because his golfer friend saw a brown person vote and Trump lost the popular vote, gov then engages in widespread voter data collection effort.

This seems the exact opposite of how a functioning democracy should work
