Daniels played bad in 2nd half. With Braxton out and Allen not doing much we didn’t have a 3 point threat which I think is our biggest weakness on offense. Disappointing to lose a game we led the whole time. I thought we were looking good this year but we lost to St. Louis, barely beat BC, and lost to Clemson. I would say we are an average team right now. Hope we keep improving.

Clemson and St. Louis don't worry me too much -- both are very strong teams and have a reasonable explanation for losing given the circumstances. And both games we nearly won/led for most of the time but lost due to those extenuating circumstances. If we can get the rest of our team to stay healthy and together then we should be strong.

^^^St. Louis is probably the second best team we've played and we were just short handed and ran out of gas after being off so long for covid stuff. so i don't put much stock in that L at all. and clemson is probably the best team we've played and we lost in OT on the road. we led all game and should've won the game, but those two losses really don't bother me at all.

we're fine. i think this is easily KK's best team. we aren't perfect and clearly had some half court offense issues in the final ~6 mins of regulation vs Clemson. the freshmen guards are showing tons of promise and Bates' development has been so impressive. i think we're definitely better than average. not to mention the ACC is there for the taking this year...no reason we can't be in the mix for a top 4 finish and the double bye in the ACCT (assuming the ACCT is played normally this year, who knows!)

The officiating was fine. A few bad calls, but not even close to why we blew it. We took our foot off the gas and tried to take the air out of the ball. We shot 24 free throws to their 9. Other way around you all are crying even worse.

^agree. we looked way better without bb. he would have gotten eaten alive by clemson's trap. shak and cam need to play a majority of minutes going forward.

The officiating was fine for most of the game (although I still think they let them play too physical ala UVA). The terrible calls were at key moments down the stretch. Of course it wasn't why we lost, but it was frustrating nonetheless.

We lost because our half-court offense gets hella static when the pressure heats up. I don't know if it's a system problem or an execution problem, but this has been a feature of Keatts' teams since he has been here. It's about as frustrating as watching Herb's scoreless stretches back in the day.

farrar is definitely not gonna play much and I can see him being a transfer, but gibson could grow into a contributor.

A healthy BB means Daniels doesn’t have to play 45 minutes. Which means Daniels maybe doesn’t commit 3 awfulness TOs down the stretch. Cam Hayes also didn’t handle the defensive pressure well at times. He was clearly bothered by it. BB could’ve helped there.

We went 7 deep last night (Seabron was 8 and he played like 2 mins I think). BB would’ve helped no doubt. He wouldn’t have scored 20. And probably would’ve gotten beat on D some (the guys playing got beat some too). But it’s hard to win an ACC road game going 7 deep with 2 freshmen point guards.

Clemson’s top 5 defense in the nation might have something to do with our weak O down the stretch.

^I agree BB could have helped last night, but the problem is that Keatts is in love with the kid. If he plays, he plays 30+ minutes and those are minutes that shak and cam should be on the floor. Let him play <20 min off ball spelling daniels and one of the freshmen. That'd be a perfect role for him.

^^ BB has played >30 mins in only 2 games this year and one of those was the SLU game when Hayes was out.

we’re putting a lot of faith in freshmen PGs. Especially considering we didn’t have much of an OOC schedule to get them more experience. I like Shak and I like Hayes and they’ve mostly played well this year. But we need BB to provide leadership and experience. And like you said...BB isn’t just in to give Hayes and Moore a break. He can replace Allen and Daniels too. When they’re all healthy, we have back court depth and that’s a real strength of the team

would love to see Hayes step up and put together a complete game. there have been some flashes, but there is something off confidence or maybe seeing/clicking with the flow of the game. he def looks good when we are running breaks.

Don't use ESPN app to determine the channel for the game. It will NEVER tell you if a game is on RSN and then you will get pissed off when it is blacked out on ESPN's streaming service.

This was painful to watch. Team played into Miami's game plan and seemed like they didn't even want to be there. When we played up temp we took the head back and then took the foot of the gas. The next couple of games will only get more tougher than Miami.

I think Miami did a good job not letting us get into transition. Miami was content to let us crash the boards and they get back on D. And limiting turnovers. That kept us from getting in transition.

I think that’s a key to beating us. Make us play half court and rely on our inexperienced guards to make plays

We have been winning every game this year with about 5 minutes to go and are 6-3.

At the end of the year when we are a bubble team again you can point to this one. Lost at home to Miami without their two best players.

I really hope Cam Hayes doesn't leave but I would. He's sitting behind the worst four year starter in NCSU history.
