your gonna wanna match your intake manifold as well or it's really just not worth it.....but judging from the way you asked the queston you should probably just leave your car the way it is

yeah, not worth doing to nearly any car and completely worthless unless the intake is matched to it...and even then gains will be minimal if any

from a fellow cherokee owner.. 1st make sure you have some flavor of conical air filter second get an exhaust third... you know you have to replace the valve after it is bored right? last... depending on which intake you have it may not need to be matched. what year is your cherokee... if yours doesn't have the computer designed intake manifold... get that 1st it will add way more power (compared to the old log w/ runners style)

hopefully that was the vehicle you were talking about.

2001, intake manifold opening is 62mm and the TB is either 60 or 62 mm at the top but tapers down to something like 58 or 55 mm at the bottom.

From what i've read you can still use the stock butterfly valve with a 60mm straight through bore, i think with the 62mm is where you need a new butterfly (though i've also read that you can use the stock one with the 62mm bore as well)
