I'm still crossing my fingers that I DON'T have to move back, but even if I do, it would only be temporary until I find a job in the DC area.

Otherwise, I'm always down for some jamming. Unfortunately, my drums have remained in Charlotte for a few years, so I haven't had much chance to play. I am probably a little rusty.

But I appreciate the endorsement nonetheless!

No it's not in the "no-meat" district haha. That's in South End and there are plenty of places like Ice House and Big Ben's that have good food. That place, does not look good though.

Anybody know if they recently changed the recycling laws for colored cardboard (ie, Coors Light and Dr. Pepper boxes)?

I used to recycle them but my friend said the other day they don't take them anymore?

I went there for charlotte rest. week once and new years..it was ok but I had problems finding something to eat that didn't have red meat..

yeah, not sure what the reason behind the change was. But i know they're expanding to 4 locations with plans to franchise in the near future so maybe that has something to do with it. i still think Nix is better

who's eaten at Midwood Smokehouse on Central? It's owned by the same group as Big Daddy's. The BBQ is similar to Mac's, but it's a lot close to me so i get my nom on there regularly.

Midwood Smokehouse is good. Definitely a fan of it.

There are plenty of places for steak, however one I've heard that no one talks about is Beef N' Bottle. It's an older place, but people love it.

Firebirds at stonecrest changed management and owners about 4 months ago, and i no longer enjoy it. My whole family noticed a change in the salads, meal taste, and atmosphere. Also when we complained that the speakers were distorting from the music being too loud, and the manager didn't care.

My friends are headed to Aria on Saturday night. Not sure if I'm going to join, but it's supposed to be really good. I don't go out to eat in Uptown very much, at least not at night. Mez is really good too, especially if you track down a Citipass or Entertainment Book coupon.

Carolina Ale House is nice! They don't have their exterior signage yet, but it's on other side of 4th street beside the epicenter. Lots of beer on tap with some surprising choices I haven't found around town. Will definitely be back.
