^ Good point, on the other hand it wouldn't have any real effects, merely symbolic. You see, Venezuela would simply sell the oil to someone else, such as China, freeing up oil from other sources, such as Malaysia or Canada, which fill the void of American consumption.

It would cost Americans far more than it cost the people of Venezuela, but such is most activities of government.
