Tryin to take my girlfriend out for our anniversary and she's always wanted to go here. What's the atmosphere, prices, food, and dress like?

i've been ther ea few times - dress is anything from shorts and a t-shirt to suit and tie - mostly it's more on the dressy side - atmosphere isn't too pretentious - prices are definitely reasonable

great date place - pretty sure it has high citysearch ratings also

I went there shortly after it opened and was surprised. i think it must cater to the faculty of state. god knows, most students aren't sophisticated enough to appreciate it.

great resturant, nice date environment if thats what you're going for, and the prices are quite low for the quality of food you get

they have a *rare* tuna appetizer thats awesome...comes with a thai dipping sauce and a mound of something that resembles slaw...real nice dish.

That wasn't on the menu at all during the summer. I kept going back hoping it'd return. They didn't have my favorite cold Thai noodle dish either.

Only been there a few times, but I really like it. The fried green beans appetizer is very good, I'd recommend it. The shrimp and grits are very good, as are the southwestern tavern chips, and the thick cut pork chop w/bleu cheese mac n' cheese is outstanding.

You are kidding right? It's not that that nice or expensive.

Porter's is great. It's one of my our (gf and me) most frequented resturants.

good deal, so jeans and a nice shirt would be appropriate for this place?

^ Yes it should be. Apart from all the food recommendations above, what I like is that they carry Rock Rabbit Syrah, which I consider to be a great bang-for-the-buck wine. And if your girl likes sweet stuff, get her some chocolate torte for dessert, it works like an aphrodisiac

I love their fish tacos. The prices really aren't bad for a place that projects an upscale image.

Nice. Especially at night- so is Fraziers if it is still open. Same owner. My sister goes to Fraziers before the theatre all the time.

Frazier's is next door to Porter's, on the left. Very narrow storefront with large windows, aluminum trim, and a large illuminated "F" as the only visible signage.
