i preordered mine at the NCSU bookstore. they only had like 8 people on the list so i should be getting mine on launch date.....then its going straight to ebay.

You don't have to reserve it or drive all the way out there to get it. Just get in line at Best Buy when they open. They told me they are getting it a day early (the 21st) and may open at midnight. I still haven't decided if I'm going to get one yet. Not sure how impressed I am with it yet.

yea madden is the only game i got preordered although i thought about perfect dark cause im sure thatll popular like halo 1 was at launch. i keep thinking about condemned. game looks and sounds amazing.

I have to warn against doing things like that. I pre-paid in full for a Sega Saturn (stone ages). The "truck didn't deliver any" for about 3 weeks after it was supposed to get there. I could have just gone anywhere and bought one outright. Instead I was delayed by almost a month. I was also begining to worry if I would ever get it, or my money back.

Sounds like they already have yours. You dodged the bullet. Learned my lesson. I'm just throwing this out there so you all don't get burned on more important things.

yeah but who wants to wait in line thats why i pre-ordered it. Even if i get it a day or say later i don't mind. Although the last time i volunteered and worked a midnight release at best buy in cary for halo 2. hardly anyone showed up. they were all at EB's midnight release. so i bought my copy and clocked out went over to EB and my friends were still waiting in line for their copy HAHA

^^lol, that display may or may not be up anytime soon. Microsoft fucked up BIG TIME with this one. At the place where I work, they hooked up the model, and the thing shutdown our entire store system. Everything from the handheld terminals to self scanners to registers went offline.

Wonder why many stores have the display but its not set up? Thats why.

^^^^ This guy at Best Buy told me that they were going to have exclusive rights from Microsoft a day early, and he told me they may or may not open at midnight for it, but I haven't checked back with them on that. I still haven't decided if I am going to get one. Seems a little outrageous to buy one just to play the new Madden.
