Raleigh orthopaedics.

my ortho is in rocky mount, but i did physical therapy at raleigh ortho and they were good.

NCSUs team physician is on staff at raleigh ortho, so they have a pretty extensive sports medicine background

i have no idea really, i had the state health plan

each visit was about 30 bucks with coplay plus 20% maybe -- i dont really remember

but i had to go 2-3 times a week so it was expensive

but they fixed me so i cant complain TOO much

and if you need an MRI they have this nifty portable MRI that comes once or twice a week

instead of spending money at raleigh ortho, try this...this is all they will tell you

"take alieve for 6-8 weeks"

this is the recommendation of Dr. Michaels (sp?) at raleigh ortho in response to continuing, undiagnosted back pain, that has been a problem for over 3 years. in addition he didnt even as much as open my file to see what had been tried in the past

ok cool, i will keep those in mind

the biggest problem for me like i said is i am self insured, so hopefully one of the few listed here will file claims with my company instead of making me pay up front

I went to Raleigh Ortho for my rotator cuff problem and it was what I expected. They did an xray then an MRI. He didn't push surgery, which surprised me. I went for physical therapy at Dunn Physical Therapy (http://dunnpt.com/) They have night hours available which is good if you work. Both take BCBS (State plan).

I went to raleigh ortho when i separated my shoulder, they fixed me up quick.

also went there when i severed the nerves in my foot, and they had me out in like 10 minutes. Nothing but praise for everyone I've come in contact with.

This site will give you a list of all of the doctors working with NCSU athletics. I reccomend Dr. Comstock or either of the Fajgenbums. They are family friends and my father built all three of their houses. I had a shoulder injury one time and they were great!

I also went to Raleigh Ortho. when I had trouble with both of my rotator cuffs. They did the typical physical therapy, and taught me methods to help ease my pain. As far as a bicep is concerned I am not sure, but I DO know that their therapists are nationally licensed and are accepted by most all insurance companies. Hope that helps.

I work in the operating room at an orthopaedic hospital in charlotte. There are many excellent surgeons there, but I'm sure you don't want to drive so far for appointments/surgery. I could ask if they could recommend a colleauge though.

anything would help.... i dont know if you read the thread but i have torn my lower bicep tendon on the inside of my elbow leaving me with a hole where it should be attached to the bone... i didnt rupture the muscle or tendon, so i dont have the lump or cavity at the head of the bicep muscle like you would see from an injury to that extent

it has been about 2 months since it has happened, didnt notice it till about a month ago or a bit longer and some say it cant be fixed competely anymore because it has been too long, i would lose some of the motion in my arm and not be able to extend it completely out anymore

if someone says they can fix it completly i would travel to get it done if i had to

Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine.... Near Rex
Dr Jones

There is a group of Drs there that used to be with Raleigh Ortho, but moved to their own practice.... I'd give praise to Dr Jones all day long. He did an awesome job with my knee (x 2)

I vote for the Fagenbaums- and my knees do too. If they can rebuild an athlete, they rebuild us.

OMG... whomever suggested Raleigh Orthopaedics... i'll vote against them... They put my thumb back together wrong-- and it bends at an angle instead of in a more perpendicular motion (I doubt that makes any sense, but it just isn't right at all... it still works fine... and it doesn't really hurt, but they screwed up.) I wouldn't recommend them to ANYONE ... EVER. Horrible service... it was just a bad experience overall. *although it was a thanksgiving weekend*

well the guy i saw was a smart guy and taught me a few things about the anatomy of the bicep that i didnt know

so we shall see, i have to go get a nerve test to see if i may have damaged any

he doesnt think it is a torn bicep tendon

I had a good experience with Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine, but I had Dr. Ehlert. He did a good job with my leg when I broke it and was real good about answering any ?'s / concerns and following up.

I see the PA Dana Johnson at Raleigh Ortho for my rotator cuff and knee problems. Great guy, it is a busy place though. Which reminds me I have an appointment tomorrow.

My dad goes to Cary Orthopedics (right off the Cary Pkwy/Tryon intersection).

They did his rotator cuff surgery and it's worked out pretty well. He's back playing golf again now.

Drs. Rob Jones and Kurt Ehlert are both outstanding physicians and super-nice guys. I agree with those who suggested them

Another very good option is Cary Orthopaedic; I've worked with all six of their docs at some point, and have nothing bad to say about any of them.

Raleigh Orthopaedic can be a shot in the dark - you might get someone who is good, you might not.
