The Pats defense isnt what is used to be without Rodney Harrison, Ted Johnson, and a healthy Bruschi. I think the Colts finally win.

Seriously you're a dumb fuck. I know you hate how I pretty much called out your pathetic Steelers last year. That thread is over and done with, and beyond argument.

But if you think predicting the first loss by a team that many believe might go undefeated is vague and ambiguous, then you are even dumber than I thought. Indy is favored by 3.5 points too. So yeah, I see how picking a 4-3 team decimated with injuries to beat a 7-0 team is just an extremely safe and easy call.

What about earlier in the year when, before the season started, I picked Notre Dame to only lose 2 games this year? How about that you dumb fucker? http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=317423&page=2 You know, when they were looking at a schedule with (I think) 7 ranked teams, 3 of them being in the top 5 in the preseason polls? Do you remember that you ignorant fuck? Is picking a team that has wallowed in mediocrity that has an incredibly difficult schedule to contend for a BCS bowl a vague prediction?

Every time you jump into one of my threads and start talking, you just make yourself look dumber and dumber. I totally realize there is a high probability of a Patriots loss on Monday, but I still think they will win. Even if they do get destroyed, the fact is I know sports better than you could ever hope to. I threw $200 in a sports betting account prior to the start of the NFL season and I am already well over $1000. You can call what I say vague or whatever, but the fact is what I say is generally right, and if I call something wrong then I am willing to stand up and admit that I was full of shit.

OK, so now that you've unsuccessfully tried to flaunt your e-p33n, let's discuss this game. I think that the biggest roadblock to the Pats winning is Dwight Freeney. That guy is a monster, and the Pats will have their hands full. I know their defense has struggled this year a lot, but I'm really hoping that the secondary will start playing more cohesively as they get healthy. We'll see... I gotta go for now, but I'll post more later.

Well I would certainly think that how much money someone makes betting on sports is a pretty good indicator of how well they can predict outcomes in sports, but that's just me. I use rational thoughts rather than just calling people names and posting pictures to get my point across, but then again, I wouldn't expect someone with your obvious intelligence/maturity level to understand that.

Hurry up, go round up some of your faggoty internet buddies to come post in this thread. Please. Seriously.

No, more like you post contrived diatribes about how awesome you are, and you let Lil G suck you off under the desk, all while you lose the respect of any person who can read.

I fully expect another 800 word essay from you following this post on why you're the greatest sports expert ever, and how we should ignore the fact that:

1. You don't work for anyone that does anything with sports in any sort of capacity at all

2. You make simplistic predictions on things that are 50/50 and then continually pat yourself on the back when you happen to guess properly and then disappear completely when you're not right

Yes you're right.

This game is 50/50. That's why the line is -3.5 for Indy.

And Notre Dame going 9-2 was definitely 50/50.

And find somewhere that I say something wrong and disappear. I challenge you to do this.

I PREDICTED NOTRE DAME WILL ONLY LOSE 2 GAMES

I ALSO PREDICTED THAT THE WHITE SOX WOULD WIN THE WORLD SERIES........ IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE RED SOX WON IT LAST YEAR

I NOW PREDICT THAT THERE WILL BE A FOOTBALL GAME TOMORROW NIGHT AT 9PM EASTERN, AND THAT THERE WILL BE A NUMBER OF POINTS SCORED GREATER THAN 0 BUT LESS THAN 2 MILLION

I AM A CERTIFIED SPORT GENIUS

I'm sorry it's hard for you to be wrong.

I mean, first you say I only make 50/50 predictions. I then give you specific examples (such as the Notre Dame example) and you have nothing to say but your usual blubbering.

Then you say when I am wrong about something, I disappear. Once again, you're full of shit and can't back it up.

So basically, anything and everything you say is nothing but bullshit. It must be hard being you.

I dunno. For some reason, even though the Pats defense has been nothing short of atrocious, I am not worried about Indy scoring on us. I say that now, and Indy will put up 45 points... I think it will come down to a battle between the Colts defense and the Patriots offense.

I was really considering getting tickets to go to the game on Ebay (I live in Connecticut right now) but I dunno. Maybe I'll just go up and buy some scalped ones.

I gotta disagree with you on this one, Jim. The Colts feel like they have to prove themselves in this game and I think they're gonna show up big time on Monday night.

Here's my reasoning:

- The Colts had a much-needed bye last week, allowing their (many) injured players to heal. Dungy and staff have had two whole weeks to prepare for this game. Now, let's look at what New England accomplished last week - not much. Bruschi made his return, but they still looked bad against a Buffalo Bills team that is HORRIBLE on the road. They should have blown Buffalo the fuck out of Foxboro.

- The Patriots are just too banged-up. Even if Seymour, Dillon, Gay, Brown, Givens and McGinest play, they won't be playing at 100% (yes, I understand performance adrenaline, but that will only take you so far). Their patchwork defense has looked pretty bad since the Steelers game and they're playing against the NFL's best quarterback. Manning is going to exploit that weak secondary all night.

- The Patriots are playing, arguably, the NFL's most mentally tough team. Their coach is always in control, their quarterback is a true team leader and they didn't even blink when they started the St. Louis game in a big hole. Peyton gathered the troops and they did what the Colts do - locked down on defense and put up a shitload of points on offense.

- The Colts have the advantage on both sides of the ball. On offense, the Colts are killing with both the run and the pass. If you're the Patriots, which do you focus on? Edgerrin James leads the NFL in rushing and is averaging 4.9 yards a carry. While he isn't breaking off huge runs, he's grinding defenses to death. As for passing, the Colts' offensive line is doing a great job protecting Manning, (5 sacks in 7 games) who is completing almost 70% of his passes. Harrison, Stokely, Wayne and Clark don't drop many passes. On defense, the Colts will be able to focus on the pass, because the Patriots are unable to run the ball without a healthy Dillon. The D-line for Indy is ridiculous and their secondary isn't giving up a lot of big plays.

- These are two teams headed in opposite directions. The Colts started off the season a little slow on offense, but have picked it up and have been damn impressive. The Patriots, on the other hand, have been playing from behind for the last three games and look a step above mediocre.

The Colts should take care of business. The one thing that has hurt them in games this season has been turnovers on their end of the field. If they just protect the ball, they'll not only win, they'll cover pretty easily.

All that being said, I have about $200 riding on the Colts. I'm glad you're doing well with sports betting, Jim. I won about $1,600 this weekend and will be collecting tomorrow (I'm leaving $400 of the $2,000 in my account to give me some padding). I won two four-team parlays this weekend ($25 to win $250 on each), making that four four-team parlays that I've won in four weeks. I LOVE the parlay. I'm quite fond of teasers, as well. I'd be interested in seeing some of your picks each week. I'm going to be extremely disappointed when football season is over.

look man, you "predicted" that the steelers wouldn't win the super bowl. i can't even begin to explain how ridiculous of a "prediction" that is. there's a 31/32 chance that the steelers aren't going to win the super bowl every year.

also, there hasn't been an undefeated season since the 1972 dolphins. so i'm calling you out for "predicting" that 2005 will be no different than the 32 years before it. on top of that, the colts have dropped 6 in a row against the patriots and the game is in new england.

and that is what makes it another FeebleMinded prediction.

and by the way, i'd be willing to bet you $20 that the steelers WILL NOT win the super bowl every year before the season starts. nothin against my boys, just taking advantage of your stupidity in regard to probability.

Annnnnnnnd that's why your opinion is never taken seriously when it comes to sports. People that know anything about sports and odds know just how ridiculous that statement is. If you need me to break it down for you, let me know.

I still can't believe that you think his Patriots pick is a 50/50 pick. Hilarious.

Jim is still wrong about this, though.

i never said the patriots pick is 50/50

and yes i realize that the chance of not winning the superbowl isn't EXACTLY 31/32, but the point is that there's 31 other teams out there that have a shot every year. hell, he could pick the team every year before the season starts that he thinks will win the super bowl and i'd bet him $20 he will be wrong

i mean, even the worst teams in the league have a shot to win the super bowl, especially coming from the NFC.

my point is, without breaking out some ridiculous math and statistics to figure the exact probabilities, that the odds are drastically in favor of everything this guy predicts, so much so that it makes the prediction ridiculous.

Hahaha, pwnt by kiljadn...

Also, I predicted a loss to UNC, win against GA TECH, loss to Clemson, win against FLA ST (all at once) for our football team this year, so...

[50/50] = (.5) x (.5) x (.5) x (.5) = .0625

OMG I PREDICTED SOMETHING I HAD A 6 PERCENT CHANCE OF GETTING RIGHT
