If fowler fails to bring in one of the best coaches around that actually WANTS to be here then it's going to be a real shame.

I can totally already see how this is going to play out. We pursue Barnes and miss on him. Calipari wants to come and for less than Barnes, but we ignore him. We hire some midmajor that we think has potential. We have a 25% chance of getting a coach of the caliber Calipari is.

with the same formula he used as UMASS?
i want to see the aftermath of memphis before i consider his slate wiped clean...
until then he's just another "wreck it and run" coach...

and Lee Fowler is sketchy, i would love to see him gone, i wanted him gone far more than i wanted Sendek gone..

If some of you knew the half of what went on in Wooden's program, you'd have a head rush so extreme it would make you dizzy. Calipari had a situation where a star player was taking money before he declared, and Camby paid it back in fines and other ways ten fold. Is Cal a risky coach, should we keep him on a tight leash if he gets here, will he graduate his players? How about we let Fowler interview him and let the man himself answer some of these questions beofre we say "we need to keep him on a tight leash." So he signs a contract, and then Fowler says "By the way, any player not getting at least a 3.5, or if any player is seen at a socail scene or with a man over 45, you're geting canned." If I were Cal I would forget coming here with perceptions of a guy who has nothing severe on his record.

what i think is awesome is the fact that people liked the offense when we were making shots.

people make shots when they are confident. no complaints in january

then the "fans" turn on the team (and not just herb. gavin, atsur, evtimov) and they lose their confidence.

they start missing everything.

Why would Calipari even want to leave Memphis.... He is losing Carney (can be replaced)
