2001 model, 57k miles. Comptech aftercooled supercharger. Comptech stainless exhaust. should make about 360 hp at the crank.

Fikse FM10 wheels (18", retail about $1000 each). New BFG G-Force KDW2 rubber on the back (255/35R-18). 2/3 worn Potenza S03s up front (225/40R18).

JL Audio 10" sub in trunk, Canton component speakers up front. can't remember model numbers or what amp is pushing them. CD player just quit working...needs to be replaced or repaired (deck seems to work fine, but no sound. prob just a loose connection--it happened when I hit a bump a few days ago).

Mobil 1 oil/filter changes every ~5k miles (factory spec interval is 7k).

Clutch has been replaced (previous owner had it done under warranty, i think around 30k miles, b/c it was making a slight noise. No problems since. He had the valves checked/adjusted, too, even though that doesn't have to be done until 100k+ miles. I have the records for all that stuff. Previous owner was a real stickler...was a rich electrical engineer who worked on satellites.

Pics are in my gallery and car pics folder.

There are a couple of very minor door dings, and the side bolster of the driver's seat has a visible wear (but not cracked or anything). Overall, superb condition.

Price is $24,500.

the only catch is that I live in Pensacola, FL, which is a 10-hour drive from Raleigh. Good side is that I live 5 minutes from the beach, so you can take a FL beach vacation while coming down to pick up a killer sports car.

oh, and I'd be interested in a trade for a 3-series coupe (5spd) or a TJ Wrangler (6cyl, 5spd).

Also interested in another motorcycle...prob an SV-650, although for the right price I'd be interested in other stuff. Last bike was a GSX-R 750, so I can handle the hot stuff too.

Who knows, I might be interested in a trade for anything halfway interesting. The worst I can say is "no."

see, you're all so close in some ways...

^^^if you just added the word "EVO" in there...

^^if you just took out the word "even"

^ok, you're not even close.

Oh, and I might do a WRX, too. Don't know if I can get one in my price range (I'd prefer to spend <$12k.)

Yeah, Don't think you even had this car for a year yet? Btw, is that in milage in Km or actual miles? Might wanna check the button

^haha, yeah, that is in regular ol' statute miles.

^^I've had it right at 1 year. I'm selling it basically for financial reasons...I have a kid on the way, I need to get more money together for a house downpayment, I'm trying to increase the amount of money I'm putting into investments, etc.

There aren't any curvy roads around here, anyway, and getting big speeding tickets while you're in flight school is not good. Plus, I live about 6 minutes from work, and most of that is spent in my neighborhood and on base. I never really get to drive the car the way I want to.

I'm not gonna replace it with a Buick or anything, and I'll prob get back into the sports car scene with something even meaner eventually (Elise? hot rodded Dodge Razor or Smart Roadster if those hit the market? MR-2 Spyder with a big turbo? Elise? maybe a supercharged E46 M3 once the prices come down? Elise?), but for right now, I'm not really getting my money's worth out of owning it, and there are plenty of other smart things for me to be doing with that much money.

sorry to be off topic but what happened to

"my wife is probably still in kindegarden, and my kid is still a far twinkle in the back of my eye"

not exact words... but it was the greatest line from any post I have ever seen...

haha, i actually vaguely remember that post, now that you mention that.

if you could find it, that would be awesome. i don't remember what thread or anything.

but all i can say is that i'm not married, and i had a 99.x% chance of being correct about the latter.

by the way, it gets 24-25 mpg both in town (if you don't hammer on it) and on the highway...not bad considering the power it makes.

it also doesn't really feel like a high-strung tuner car. it's as streetable as a Civic, and never gives any trouble.

stereo is fixed now

I think I've ruled out Jeeps as a replacement...pretty much settled on an E36 BMW coupe, although an older 911 (or maybe even a Boxster for the right price) could probably tempt me into doing something I know I probably shouldn't.

come on, somebody buy this thing for 23k.

i'll also take a Kawasaki Ultra 150, Suzuki SV-650 (or POSSIBLY another motorcycle), or a 323/325/328is BMW coupe (or POSSIBLY another interesting car for the right price) as a partial trade.
