We couldn't have hired a fucking "A-lister" at that time anyways. We had the fucking ACC play-in game named after us. Herb put our program in GREAT condition to hire a good coach...and we couldn't.

We are an ACC team with good history coming off 5-straight trips to the NCAA tournament with really good talent coming back....and we can't hire A-list, probably even B-list coach. Fucking ridiculous.

What is this really good talent coming back that you speak of? No matter who coaches the team this year, its going to be a rough year. Also, part of the reason we are having a hard time finding a new coach is because the good coaches realize the lack of talent that our program has this year. This also leads me to the point of we should hire Gregg Marshall. He will be happy to have an opportunity to coach in the ACC and if the man can make Winthrop a respectable D-1 program he can win an ACC championship in 10 years.

We are gonna have a ton of talent this year.

Every one of our scholarship players are top 100, and all of the ones from last year are top 50 I beleive. We have plenty of talent, so dont give me that. We have like 5 4-stars on our team and 2-3 5-stars, meanwhile, West Virginia just signed their FIRST EVER 4 star, for the 2007 class. I'm sure Belein stayed just in anticipation of that guy

So don't give me this "nobody wants to come because we don't have talent" bullshit.

Umm... 2002 there were two 4-star recruits (Pittsnogle and Jabar Young), 2003 there was one 4-star (Tyler Relph).

According to Rivals.com, Pittsnoggle and Relph were both 3 star and Jabbar Young plays for San Diego St... Unless you mean Jerrah Young, who is unranked.

If we can get a coach that is even half as good as sendek, we won't have trouble making the NIT, and NCAA's are still within reach.
