I just saw this tonight, and I've got to say it's probably the most beautiful movie I've ever seen. It was fucking wonderful.

^^ I used to be really into dreaming and writing down my dreams and stuff, and it's all very wonderful but I totally got out of practice after I moved out of the dorms. The whole film is very dreamlike, even the bits of it that aren't in dreams. It was really wonderful.

There isn't a trailer yet, but there is a clip of it that's been posted online. I wouldn't watch it, though, because it's one of the best scenes in the film.

Basically, just imagine a bundle of joy consisting of Michel Gondry, Gael Garcia Bernal, and cute little Charlotte Gainsbourg, and also there's stop motion animation. [REDACTED]

[Edited on May 10, 2006 at 2:20 AM. Reason : I don't want to give away too much of the film.]

I think the date we've got at the moment is August 25th, but that's probably still pretty tentative.

Dave Chappelle's Block Party sucked, dude. Get over it with the directors stuff...

Yeah, but it was written by Dave Chappelle. That's hardly Gondry's fault.

You can't make a great movie out of terrible material- it just doesn't happen.

Does Galaxy have any seats that can sustain the weight of EverMagenta?

1. Block Party kicked ass.
2. Nobody wrote it.
3. Galaxy has seats that can sustain the weight of spöokyjon, so yes.

Not to lessen the severity of my chub, but I see people that weigh more than me every single day.

What's the reasoning for your personal vendetta, again?

BTW, if you're looking for a horrible Gondry movie, check out Human Nature.

Good God. It was written by Kaufman, directed by Gondry, and sucked balls.

The only good thing about it is Tim Robbins being interviewed, documentary style, from a room in heaven with a bullet hole in his head.

Haha, I didn't know what movie you were talking about and I started to watch that trailer there and after the first 10 seconds or so I thought to myself "this seems a little like eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (which I liked a lot btw)" and then it said "From the Director of Eternal Sunshine...".

So, I was reading it's an original franch film, translated the english, and it's about a man trapped in his dreams (wild!). This gets one thinking, that the whole movies some facade, it wishes the viewer to try and discern if the man's awake or asleep.

I've never seen another movie that has attempted this.... oh wait! No, nevermind.

So, is the Madstone getting an advanced screening? Everything I'm reading on-line is that it opens in very limited release (i.e., NYC and LA) on September 15.
