Live subscription.
OK, this is what happened - Some asshat stole my wallet, so I had to cancel my debit cards, thus I had to cancel my Xbox Live service temporarily, because it just so happen when my wallet was stolen, my monthly renewal was going to take effect 2 days later. I called Microsoft about this, and they said that I could just cancel my subscription since there was nothing else that could be done about that, and just just re-sign up for Xbox Live after I got my new debit card. I was told by the customer care person that I would not be able to use that profile anymore, and I was like cool. Assuming that I could not use that profile name as an Xbox Live gamertag I did not sweat it - until the other day when I fired up DOA4 (for offline play)for the first time in weeks, and all of the unlockables that I unlocked were not available. I tried loading my profile which I had my Xbox Live service under as well, and it was grayed out. I tried putting other games, and the same thing happened. I will be calling Microsoft today after I get off of work. Moral of the story - don't cancel you subscription or let it expire. If you are unsure about Xbox Live - create a separate profile just for playing on there so this will not happen to you. If I cannot recover my saves, I have lost a LOT of hours of hard work, especially with DOA4.

But then wouldn't I have to spend money on GameShark or Action Replay? 5/22/2006 11:57:52 AM |

If you have not figured it out yet by context clues, my wallet was stolen about 2 weeks ago and I just fired up my 360 yesterday for the first time since that happened. 5/22/2006 12:14:20 PM |

Why did you cancel your XBox Live subscription just because your debit card was stolen? Did they steal your XBox too? Cause you buy XBoxLive subscriptions by paying in advance...I cancelled a card before with a Live account on it...I just waited months for the account to expire then I renewed it with a new card 5/22/2006 1:43:57 PM |
