I haven't seen many pet threads. If by your logic that there are "so many pet threads cluttering up the flow of Tdub", then there needs to be, for example, an "I'm drunk" or an "I <3 Alcohol" forum. Because clearly, these are more numerous than pet threads.

I am already on a number of cat-related forums, but I thought it would be more fun to discuss them with people that are closer to my demographic.

This may not be the MOST accurate judge of what users want, but it's the best we have at the moment. It may not PROVE a large amount of interest, but the data so far isn't disproving it. At very least it shows it would be worth investigating further.
