because you dont own the rights to the song, and neither does the wolfweb. if you owned the cd, and i owned the cd, in which the same song existed, and i sent it to you as a backup, as long as you paid for that song originally, then its legal (i'm pretty sure)

however, if you didn't purchase the song, then its illegal to own it, trade it, or download it without expressed written consent from the record company, the artists, and everyone working therein.

I don't know much about the possibility of MP3 sharing, but I thought a CD exchange might be good.

Let's say I want the debut album from Tweet. So I hop on TWW and see who has "Southern Hummingbird" and contact that user...kinda like school tool, but for CDs. We could do rankings and what not.
