They did let us play...but we also played some good defense and were pretty smart and didn't make too many stupid fouls.

Gavin on the other hand.....scary. I keep trying to weigh the benefit of having the ball in his hands a lot...whether it creats more points or gives up more points. I think it creates more point...but not that much. And he fucked up AT LEAST every other play in the last 6 or 7 minutes. And he won't cross the halfcourt line unless he's been dribbling for at least 8 seconds. Common fucking sense Gavin...what the fuck are you waiting for?????

He's the only senior leader on the team and our second leading scorer, not to mention the only experienced ball handler. Gavin's bad resume for the Mich game:

- 10 sec call
- Rushing two shots when we were up big with >10 minutes left
- Although it went in, the 3 ptr. early in the play clock
- Step out of bounds
- Offensive foul off of inbound play
- Attempt to throw it downcourt got tipped into a turnover
- Missing free throws late

That's only the 7 I can remember and they all happened in the last 10 minutes of the game. I'm sure there were more.

I have to agree that Gavin played well for 35 minutes, but the last 5....Damn WTF was going on out there? Got called for carrying, turned it over, took 3 bad shots and got lucky 1 went in, steps out of bounds, and gets called for 10 seconds. These are things a college player should be aware of.

Gavin played great.

He had some miscues down the stretch but he was a big reason we had a 20 point lead to start with.

He's not a point guard he filled in for the night because we had no other alternative.

And he was clearly bumped out of bounds on that one play. Ridiculous no call.

i am almost 99% positive this is part of sidney's offense. I have seen several players drive to the basket or take a jump shot with 8 sec. or more left on the shot clock when we are up and trying to drain the clock.

This type of attack can surprise the defender and allow for an easier shot, we are just not used to it b/c herb liked to cling to a lead whereas sidney likes to run up the lead.\

Yeah, but then again, Gavin and Cam both showed some of their skills last season but were not able to shake and drive as much under Herb's conservative offence. He held all the strings and the players had little freedom to get past their man.

Cam came up huge on offensive rebounding plays where he could do whatever he wanted, and some of his stuff was amazing. Remeber his reverse duncks against Ga Tech and the breakaways against sheldon. The dude could flat out fly.
