I think it is SORTA being discussed in another thread, but i think it is a great idea. But then again you guys never listen to reason ie the "Eyeroll smiley". Anyhow, with as many users as there are on the board, a relatively few post often. They must WANT to post but are afraid of all the fruitcakes on here. Everyone should want to post alot because we are so cool and they should want to be our friends and stuff.
Honestly though. An area where only people with under a certain number of posts can post. Keeps the evil veterans out and encourages n00bs to take that final step into internet nerd-dom.
I'd consider it if I were you That many people posting would DRAMATICLY boost the usefulness of the site (Along with ONE email for a thread subscribed to for each visit thereafter , but thats an old thread). 4000 participating TWWers.....I envy you Mr J.

yes, but first of all, that wouldn't really prepare them at all, it would just give them numbers, and besides, don't you think when all the old people knew the post count, they'd pick on the new kids anyways (so if you had to have 50 posts, they pick on the ones with 60, such is life, it's not that big a deal

You missunderstand the point. It is not to protect them and make them feel all flowery. The point is to get them to post. I think it would do that very effectively. I fail to see where the confusion lies. I'm sorry.
