It will, I watched a couple of documentaries on Friday afternoon. I still feel like it's slower than ethernet to my computer, and you can tell how bad the qualty of youtube videos actually are on a television, but it does work.

there was a story on http://www.joystiq.com about how homestarrunner had converted some of their web games to work with the wii browser.

the problem with watching videos on the wii is the bar on the bottom, and some sites have problems going full screen so you manually have to zoom in and have those blinking scroll arrows. hopefully the final release will allow you to hide that bar.
when you can do that:

id love to use the wii to watch videos, but right now the only good way to do it is through the picture viewer and that only supports mjpeg. mjpeg is huge, you can barely fit a tv show on a sd card and you would have to split up a movie onto multiple cards.

dang it. yea it never dled the new opera. no wonder.

i did the wii update. then went into the internet channel. and it stalled forever. so i had to unplug the wii. b/c it wouldnt reset or turn off. so i guess its broke now. excellent.

similar thing happened with the everybody votes channel i think. bc ive got all the wii updates. but never got that channel either. great.

Try removing your internet channel and then downloading it again.

similar thing happened to me. i did the wii update, then it gave me an error to get online.

so i went to my connections and did a connection test. that seemed to work.

then i got online.

so maybe that is the solution i dont know
