Ok...Who is the asshole that keeps flagging everything on the Raleigh craigslist pages? Almost ever post in Casual Encounters w4m has been flagged and deleted. Plus someone who keeps trying to post an ad for rec league basketball registration in Activities, said they have had their post removed multiple times. The other week I actually flagged an article for a dominatrix since she posted in activities, but it was never taken down.

also...here is my most recent weird story.

I had an ad up for a roommate for my house. I received an email on Monday of last week from a couple saying "hi, my boyfriend and I were looking for a room to rent, blah blah blah". I immediately discarded it (as I do all other emails containing non-starters like "hi I have 3 dogs, even though your ad says no pets" or "YO BITCH DAT ROOM STILL THERE?") and didn't think anything else of it.

I was gone most of the weekend, and on Sunday night my current roommate was like "oh yeah, that couple from Craigslist stopped by to look at the house so I showed them the place."

ummm, WHAT??

Nowhere within the ad did I list my address or post ANY pictures of the outside of the house. I did, however, list the cross street we are nearest to. Apparently they were out house-hunting and took it upon themselves to go door-to-door around my neighborhood, on either side of the street, and on either side of the cross street I had listed (about 20 houses), trying to find which house was the one from the ad. My roommate said they had a clipboard and a printed out picture of the bedroom I had posted, and asked them when he came to the door "Is this your bedroom?"

He said they were well-dressed and well-spoken and seemed like nice people, albeit thinking it was weird that I hadn't given him the heads up that people were coming by to see the place.

^^ Weird people are weird. I was selling a car one time and some guy called on a Friday night wanting to know if he could look at it on Saturday, but he didn't know what time would be good. I told him I'd be home most of the day and to call me on Saturday when he knew what time and he could come look at the car. Long story short...I never gave him my address, yet the next morning while I'm still laying in bed the dude calls and tells me he's outside of my house. I look out and see a truck parked in the street that I don't recognize. He must have gotten my address from searching the tax records for my name. He drove from Winston Salem and didn't bother to give me a call anywhere along the way. I'm pretty sure the only reason he called rather than knocking is because the car was in the garage and he wasn't 100% sure he was at the right place. I let him look at the car and sent him home empty handed when he tried to lowball me. I think my words were "If that's all you were willing to pay I could have saved you a lot of time and gas by telling you over the phone that I wouldn't accept it." It was so low I wouldn't even give him a counter offer.
