1) If I recall correctly, his wife died of cancer, and his son was profiled in Reader's Digest within the past year or so. Something in relation to cancer, but I can't really remember. I read that story a while back, shitting at my grandfather's
2) I saw Dr Burroughs there last year; I'd choose that practice again if I needed to see an ortho again (so help me god that I don't need to go visit again soon )
3) He won't fuck up your shoulder

good luck with rehab...i had total reconstructive surgery on left shoulder, seemed like it took forever to get to 100 percent, but never had any problems with it now.....

Im sure he wont fuck it up.. I mean. It's already fucked up! Im pretty sure he'll do a good job. Just sucks that I'll have it in a sling for at least 3 weeks

I had my shoulder fixed about 6 months ago, it's all back to normal now. The rehab is by far the worst part. I had very little pain following surgery, just a lot of stiffness and weakness after I got out of the sling and during PT.

I had that, along with a bunch of other shit from repeated injuries. You'll be back to normal in about 12 weeks. Just do what the doc says, don't try to be a hero and do shit too soon. However, as soon as you start your PT do all the shit they tell you to do at home. It'll speed things up significantly.
