So we went to Carolina Ale House with some friends and my buddy got completely shit housed, passed out in parking lot, and I had to pick him up and drag him into the back seat. About halfway home the mother fucker starts kicking me in the back of the head and slapping me. I rear back, hit him a couple times, and he keeps the shit up. Eventually I hope in the back and start slapping the shit out of him before he (seemingly) calms down. 5 minutes later he decides to grad my girlfriend and try to make her stop the car. Same thing goes down.

We finally get home and the idiot is talking about "you better get to the house quick cuz I'm going to kill ur dog!" I tackle the dumb shit out front and wind up beating on him pretty bad. Until all the neighbors are outside watching the whole ordeal.

I finally manage to get him into the house and throw his ass in his bed, grab the dog, and proceed to go back to the girlfriends house. I get about 60yrds away and the idiot comes running out of the apartment with a shotgon (mind you theres about 6 neighbors outside one with their infant) and starts talking more shit. Me being an idiot, I throw my arms out and dare him to shoot and THE FUCKING ASSHOLE FIRES- Got me square in the shoulder with a stray pellet. I take off and head to the girlfriends to get my ass bandaged up (she's the emt in my sn) and get a call from RPD charging him with drunken disorderly, disturbing the peace, criminal mischief, and ATEMPTED MURDER! Obviously i don't press charges and am debating if I want to go get my shit from over there quite yet.

no idea- I talked to the cop at like 2:30am after i was already all the way back to Cary. He wanted me to come down there so they could take pictures of the wound, file a statement, etc. I refused... Part because I was tired and part because I don't want my name anywhere in the police network unless absolutely necessary. honestly, if i was given the right information (assuming dude's name was spelled right, etc)... then he either has quick access to big bucks or got low charges.

even with a high bond, its almost impossible to get out in 9 hours. ive had up to 50k for much much much less... and it took me some time to get out even though i went up there with money, lawyer, and bondsman to turn myself in
