Not having to watch them combine how crazy Leslie is on a weekly basis with the standard sitcom crazy-ass pregnant lady is the single best thing about the time jump. That would have been brutal.

Lot's of good cameos in these two episodes. Leslie Knope doing the impression of Tammy 2 had me laughing so hard. I'm not sure how Nick Offerman kept a straight face.

man, I didn't realize they were blowing through this season at the rate of 2 episodes/week. guess it doesn't matter to me since I'll be streaming it anyway, but figured they'd try to stretch it out.

Nah, they're sick of it and want it to be done. The fact that this season exists could even be viewed as a courtesy.

I just hope they don't blow through the last four on one night like Arrested Development.

the whole leslie/ron feud was fucking unnecessary and terrible

i mean just a piss poor choice to hype up an unknown vendetta and refer to it constantly without having any context of what it is over 3 episodes. on top of what obviously goes against the grain of the soul of ron and leslie's relationship that had been built over the past 6 seasons.

did you not see the second part of last nights episode?

it summed it all up quite nicely, especially with the 3 year jump in time

I kept hoping that the Morningstar debacle was that Leslie fed Ron a veggie burger without telling him and he liked it.

Oh well.

^^^ I did see part two, and im saying it was a wrap up to an unnecessary storyline

it was a very cute wrap up though

I was hoping the Morningstar thing would be something more elaborate too. Ron missing everyone was genuinely sad though.

Literally evert storyline is "unnecessary". This is a comedy not a hardcore serial drama.

I'll agree it does fly in the face of the foundation they built. But when they started the show, they were supposed to be diametrically opposed and I don't think they could ever really build on that because the characters had to become too like-able to save the show. Don't forget the time jump. Everyone can hate each other ... in time.

this has been one hell of a final season. Last night's two were fantastic. 1-hour series finale next week at 10pm after The Voice.

my DVR fucked up so I wasn't able to watch until just now

after it aired last night and all day today, pictures of Garry were popping up on my twitter timeline and I figured he must have died in the ep

I'm much happier that he ended up in a hot air balloon with KC and Jojo playing in the background

Saw the old dude mayor in the coffin and was like 'Holy shit that old guy looks like Bill Murray' then they played the tape and I was like "Holy Shit, that IS Bill Murray!'

I'm excited about and also dreading the last two episodes this week.

They've been burning them off. I've managed to watch a couple, and they are less funny, but it's still pretty good. NBC sucks.

I don't remember them mentioning a presidency. I know what you're referring to with the secret service guy saying it was time to go but governors have secret service too.

just saw Hulu added a 53 minute producer's cut of the finale. double-checked when I went to stream it yesterday and the broadcast version was the only one that was up, but I guess I'm gonna watch this soon

I just watched the extended version. There were a few more jokes here and there, and the newsreporter lady and Jamm got flashforwards, but all in all it wasn't particularly worth it unless you just feel like watching the finale again. Which you totally should.

but leslie had finished her 3 terms as governor already in another flashback

that was clearly meant to be an allusion to one of them being president. pretty sure it would be leslie considering how many times that was mentioned as her ultimate goal.

I got the inference for sure but it was never stated explicitly right? I like the way that they did that episode.

I just finally got time to watch the finale. While I still think last seasons finale was a better overall episode of television, this was an immensely satisfying series finale. This season has been fantastic, and I couldn't ask for anything more. I literally could not watch this show season one it was so bad, but it quickly turned into one of the best comedies on television, I'm so glad it went out on such a good note, and it will be missed
