I've washed my comforter several times in a top-loader. If you use powder detergent, be careful because it can get settled in the folds and not wash out.

I have no idea how I will cope. My dog has meant more to me over the last few years than just about all the people in my life. She's a Boxer and she turns 7 this month. Hopefully we'll have at least 3 more years together.

yeah I don't' even want to think about it with our dog. I'm not even much of a cat person these days, but when I was 18, one of our cats who was 19 years old was ready to go. I stupidly said I wanted to go to the vet when they put her to sleep.

My dog died unexpectedly yesterday. My husband found her passed away in her kennel in the morning. She was only three yrs old approximately. She was a rescue from the humane society and while she's always been a bit weird she was a good dog. We had her for only a yr and a half and when we adopted her she was skin and bones. She had a rough life and we are heartbroken she had to pass alone in her kennel without us knowing why. She was fine.

Anyways, that story ripped my fucking heart out. She didn't get a last day.

I'm so sorry Kiwi, I've had a similar experience and it was awful. We think our dog died from a pulmonary embolism.
