As usual, I'm mad late to the game, but since I finally got a chance to try it, I figured I'd start a new thread since the others is dead.http://www.gourmetfactory.com/Tackiest website, decor, and menu ever...it feels like the late '80s...definitely not gourmet, but I guess that's the joke.Anyway, it is delicious, moderately priced, and they deliver.I don't care how drunk you are. If it's before 11 PM, and you're craving some delivery pizza, you gotta holla at the Gourmet Factory. Shit's so tasty.Never eat bad pizza again, guys!

i think my household is keeping them in business, we eat there all the time and are always the only people there and use them to cater anytime we have a party. i really like their lamb shish.

Despite 5 years in Raleigh and getting dozens of their advertisements, I never worked up the nerve to go to that place. It always looked way too sketch, and Cook Out was right across the street calling my name.[Edited on October 8, 2009 at 11:24 PM. Reason : .]

I've gone. The Sub special for lunch is alright, but I've had poor service/an unpleasant experience enough times that I just stopped going...and I'm not picky at allll about service.
10/8/2009 11:27:11 PM
no one ever goes in. I used to have two friends that work there.

Yeah, the location is pretty crappy. I finally went for dinner on a whim. The place was empty, and I kinda felt like I was intruding on the hostess/server's study sesh, but the service wasn't offensive or anything. I mean, it was just supercasual and a little weird to be the only ones in there at first. For me, it's just that the cold weather is coming. It's gonna start getting dark sooner. And at least twice a month, my ass is gonna be inside for good by six o'clock and craving some pizza. And every single time I've ordered standard delivery in the past, I've felt ripped-off and stupid for making the same mistake over and over again...unless I'm drunk or hungover, and then I just feel drunk or hungover.Sooooo...I'm crazy stoked that I finally discovered The Gourmet Factory and its fantastic delivery menu.I cannot recommend this place enough![Edited on October 8, 2009 at 11:47 PM. Reason : No more bad pizza!]

maybe i'll try their delivery...but i'm not gonna go in there and sit there for an hour waiting on my food again. and yeah, it was wrong every damn time.]
10/8/2009 11:48:50 PM
They deliver, but the food that you receive isn't 1/2 as good when its delivered. We get it delivered into work every so often, and its NEVER as good as getting the food from there.
10/8/2009 11:49:13 PM
Yeah, and I think part of it is that when I go to a restaurant, I expect a little flexibility in a meal. But like, if I want a Caesar salad with chicken, i have to order the salad, add chicken, and a damn salad ends up being 10 bucks or something...that was partly my beef with it
10/8/2009 11:53:44 PM
one person in the party i go with NEVER gets something off the menu and they have never had a problem putting it together for them.
10/8/2009 11:56:04 PM
when i used to go, id order a club sub, add bacon, banana peppers, onions and oil/vinegar ...and in addition to our food taking 30+ minutes, it would always be missing all the shit i tried to add.

HAHAHAHAHAThat website has NOTHING on this one. Sadly, I built all the flash in the site too. Here's the exact words from my boss "I do not care how big the files are, I want it to look good."Therefore the homepage takes FOREVER and a day to load. It's all from the sheet that folds down. Frame-by-frame animation from maya that she told me to redo because it wasn't JPEG 100, 30fps on the compression. Also, this website was put together in an afternoon and we billed her like $2500 for it (just for the prototype - the finished design will run around $5-6K, plus they charge $125/month or something stupid for their crappy hosting - run off a shared account from GoDaddy.)Quit that place, they SUCK. At the time they were paying me $5/hour because they could do that or fire me. After seeing them turn around $4-5K in a day, I told them to pay industry rates or take it and shove it.http://www.elizabethspizza.net/

I've never had a problem with the service when I've gone. The prices are great and so's the food.
10/9/2009 12:55:11 AM
I've heard of the place. Haven't had a chance to check them out yet though
