Netflix is increasing their monthly streaming price from $7.99 to $8.99 for new members

I got an email that said my rate wouldn't change for 2 years

It was mentioned in the Hopscotch thread, but the documentary "A Band Called Death" is awesome and definitely worth checking out.

^that was a pretty sweet documentary

as i was reading the description i started singing..."and the colored girl go doo doo doo doo..."

when we started watching it and that was the opening song...beatsunc looked at me funny, so i smugly smiled and said, "i've already told you....i know EVERYTHING"

I watched Mansome a few weeks ago. It's a Morgan Spurlock documentary on masculinity that has people like Adam Carolla and Zach Galifianakis in it. I enjoyed it.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Lie to Me, starring Tim Roth. I had never even heard of the show but it's pretty good.

^I watched the first 3 and realized they are all almost the same show and everything could have been accomplished in one episode. that said, I was mildly entertained.

I watched "Mortified Nation" last night, and really enjoyed it. I even looked up the "Mortified" shows and will try to catch one sometime.

Same here on Hemlock Grove! I'm on episode 3, and it's starting to pick back up, which is normally when I lose interest in a show, but I still dig it. There are some very random lines that crack me up.

Available shows a lot of people haven't seen:

Boss was fantastic, in my opinion, but it got cancelled. Still, it's pretty sweet and available on Netflix now.

Luther feels kinda cheesy at times, but Idris Elba is the man, and the first/second seasons were definitely good. I got bored during the third season, but that's when I got bored with a lot of television.

Damages was great, but there are a lot of episodes in each season, and you're technically supposed to pay attention to them. Also, its main characters are women. And it's kinda soapy, but soapy is way better than 95% of TV. It was often nominated for awards, but it lost a lot cause it was up against Mad Men.

Rescue Me is basically a soap opera for dudes. I loved it.

^^I loved damages until maybe the second or third season when it became wayyyyy too overdone, trite, and unbelievable. They could've kept on with the character development and more subtle plot lines, and still held an audience. Never finished it.

I've just started watching Wilfred and I'm a HUGE fan. This show is amazingly well written (at least Wilfred's lines). I'm usually not into stuff like this (anything "fantasy") but this show hits the spot.

For the most part, I agree about Damages, but I kept with it.

Stopped watching Wilfred when I stopped watching a bunch other shows. It was really good though.

Rescue Me is fantastic. It made me want to be a blackout drunk and a fireman all at the same time. Great supporting cast.
