I feel creepy. I honestly just want some wings, and it is near the koury convention center.
There is a midget busboy working here though which is pretty cool. 11/19/2009 7:14:12 PM |

i enjoy the great divide among the population where it concerns the wholesomeness of hooters
one half (generally the half that wants gay sex demonstrated live in front of 3rd graders for "sex ed") thinks its the most appalling thing to ever exist (other than believing in a Christian God) The other half (generally the people who work for a living) think its just like any other family restaurant
and there are very few people who don't have an opinion one way or another

Hope to catch part of the game but have to get back and do a few last min preps for my presentation tomorrow 11/19/2009 7:24:17 PM |

make grabbing motions with your hands, and say "honk honk" really loudly when your waitress approaches
only do this once, and then proceed to act perfectly normal. 11/19/2009 7:25:55 PM |

You know the fucked up thing is that my hotel clock had not been adjusted for dst and I thought the panthers game would be on when I got here.
Oh well. This has been a vacation day for me.. At a conference not worrying about my kids, eating wing (which are way off of my diet) and I'm on my third beer.. A milestone considering I have only drank 2 times since august. 11/19/2009 8:02:59 PM |

true story, I was starving, took a big first bite out of one of their wings and got a mouthful of nothing but breading, grease and wing sauce
to this day I refuse to eat another one of their breaded wings. The naked ones arent bad, about middle of the pack in the world of wings, but good god I hate their breaded wings 11/19/2009 9:18:59 PM |

^^there's bbq/rib joint that i really want to check out near my house, but I'm fairly certain I would be the first white person they've ever served. They share a parking lot with a guy that sells stolen goods from a platform covered in astroterf and from as near as i can tell a carwash that serves beer and possibly other controlled substances.
^sure it wasn't taco mac in midtown? they have pretty good wings.

my actual neighborhood is pretty cool, but there are some admittedly sketch areas nearby. here's the intersection, the bbq shack is the green and yellow building:
