Well, they will probably start the next episode making noise. But either way the line of zombies will be scattered.

Why is there such a big mystery with the "A." That was simply the mole inside marking where the arsenal was.

And we know there's a mole because the recruiter found his pictures of the inside (the ones that he shows to potential recruits) on one of the wolves.

Every time a major character has died there were witnesses and definitive proof I thought. Very weird that they didn't actually show that it was Glenn getting eaten.

Morgan's backstory should have been worked into last season. Really lame to have to watch it now after such a major episode and cliffhanger. Also doesn't help that they dramatically lowered his likeability two episodes ago.

I understand the reason why people think Glenn didn't die, but if they go back and let him survive...then I'll have lost some faith in this show. The think I like about GoT is that they don't mind killing off main characters, so each week you feel like anyone can die. I really like that TWD finally killed off a main character, because it brings back the element of "no one is safe" instead of just letting the main characters escape everything.

If Glenn survived that, it'll be a pretty big step backwards for the show. Amid a herd, I can just hide under another body and they won't see me moving or screaming or crying? New gameplan fellas!

How can he survive? They were pulling his guts out and he was screaming in pain. Even if it was the dead body of Nicholas on top of him there is no way the zombies wouldn't tear him apart anyway.

One thing that does annoy me though -- why didn't he jump inside the dumpster and call Rick for help on his walky talky? Zombies would be banging on the outside and stuff but they aren't smart enough to get in. Hell, they might have even just wandered off after a while. There was also a small staircase in the alley leading up to the roof of the building that they could have gotten to.

Glen was my favorite character so I was hoping that if he did die, it would be doing something more heroic. Sidenote: When he called Rick a dumbass on the walky talky before, I knew something was gonna happen. When Rick was in the tank in the first episode and Glen saved him, he said the same thing.

He could have climbed into the dumper or just gone up the fire escape on the side of the building in that alley they were in.

The guts coming out were definitely from the guy on top of him unless Glenn has his intestines in his chest. Some pictures make it look like while the zombies were feeding on the other guy, Glenn slid under the dumpster which is why the camera panned up to that view they had above the crowd.

Personally I'd hate for such a cop-out by keeping him alive, but based on the episode, plus things on The Talking Dead, I doubt he's actually dead.

I do not believe he is dead based on Talking Dead and the fact that they kept the camera on his face the whole time. I believe it's the other guys entrails being pulled out.
I think it's a copout that Glen wasn't bitten on the neck or face. Should be interesting to see his miraculous survival.

In past episodes too they've covered themselves in zombie guts to roam around, not sure why they aren't using the strategy (yet).

I just figured they had pulled the intestines out of his stomach area. Not a doctor but I'd think a person would be able to live long enough to scream a bit before dying if their intestines were pulled out.

That's another thing I was thinking. If push came to shove and he was able to hide inside/under the dumpster, he could hack off a few zombie arms/legs and cover himself with their guts. I'm wondering how effective if would be if they physically see you do it though. At what point do they start thinking you are just another zombie.

The visualization of his death was intentionally vague, but the way they focused on him during the episode makes you think he's dead. My dvr only got the first few minutes of talking dead, but the way they had it set up makes me think he's still alive somehow.

Either way,i texted my friend who stopped watching this season that a season 1 character died, which is probably what they wanted to happen.

The episode actually focused on Nicholas. Not Glenn. And Nicholas died. I think that's the biggest give away.

Glenn Died

Metaphorically.

The Glenn that tried to save Nicholas is gone. He wont be as forgiving. He will be harder.

Or not.

But how fast is Rick? Absolutely no hesitation.

So he killed the wolves Morgan let go. I wonder if any wolves survived the raid on Alexandria.

Also, the wolves raided Alexandria. The Alexandrian's are sheep. Wolves, sheep. They are eating the legs and arms of people for food. That's why they hack the limbs off so fast. They think the legs will 'turn' if they don't get them off fast enough. Don't want to spoil the meat. Also might explain the craziness. Don't cows that eat reprocessed cows get mad cow disease. Isn't that a problem for cannibals?

Im leaning towards Glen being alive. Though, what kind of dumpster has enough room to fit underneath?

Interesting photo

Michonne almost comes across as selfish in some of the scenes in the woods where walkers approach the group. I mean, you can kill a walker with a sword a lot quicker and easier (and from a greater distance) than getting right in it's face and stabbing it's head with a knife or screwdriver. Yet she seems to have the same "kills per time unit" ratio as the others. What a bitch.

Unfortunately, I watched the show yesterday and I already knew from Facebook/twitter, etc... what happened because people had spoiled it.

With that said, I hadn't even seen the show yet and I gave it a 5% chance of being true, if that. There is noway that he is dead. As someone mentioned above, I wish it were true because that would give the show some edge and credibility.. We will see, but I'm sure he has some miraculous escape.

There were some moments here and there I wasn't a big fan of. So far they've really only strayed from 2-3 great/graphic/powerful moments from the comics, but I understood the logic of them. I don't mind them not killing off the main core people, or even changing how they die, but at some point they do need to really show that they're willing to kill off people that "matter" or I'll lose faith that they'll actually recreate some of the best moments from the comics for being too graphic or upsetting fans.

One of the fun elements of watching GoT is that literally any character could die at any time, and that's how reading the TWD comics goes, people just up and die out of the blue and it creates more tension and is just more entertaining to read. When you're watching the show you feel pretty safe that no major character will ever die, even when in the most perilous situation.

So, Game of thrones killed Ned and Rob.

That was a while ago.

John probably isnt dead. So saying that GoT will kill anyone is something thats left over from a while ago. I would say its the same thing with The Walking Dead.

We have burned through 4-5 black characters, the lovable wise white guy, the main characters wife, Darrels brother, Shane, Beth, etc etc.

I expect characters to die in The Walking Dead MORE than GoT. When I watched this last episode I believed he was dying. Now I dont. HOWEVER! What shows can execute that and have most people believe it after watching?? Normally a fake death you never see on screen. They cut away at the last second or some garbage.

Kudos to this show fooling most of the audience. It even seemed that the cast of the Talking Dead was fooled.

Fantastic Directing in this series regardless of how close they follow the book.

Has any character that has been on 50% of the episodes so far died other than Beth? Was anyone actually upset that she was killed off, or were people more upset we spent a season finding her just to kill her off?

I mean Abraham/Eugene/Rosita have been in as many episodes as Hershel/Tyrese/Lori. Would the internet erupt if Abraham was killed off next episode? How about Sasha? She's been on the show longer than Beth was.

I guess my hang-up is the word "main", because I feel like a "main" character dying should draw reaction. I mean Carol killing the two kids drew more of a reaction than Tyrese dying. I just don't like that they finally appeared to go for a death on the show that would genuinely make a majority of the fans react, and then it appears it was just smoke and mirrors.

TWD hasn't had anything like The Red Wedding(though if it followed the comics it should have plenty) scene-wise where it just got a huge crowd reaction, or had twitter buzzing. I mean there are rumors that John Snow will come back, so I won't count that one since Glenn might still be alive, but at least they showed that he was bleeding out and that he likely died, if magic brings him back, so be it. GoT in the last couple of seasons had Stannis, Mance, Tywin, Ygritte, Joffrey, Caetlyn, etc. There were a lot more, but those were fairly prominent characters that appeared in multiple seasons and played big parts.

Everyone thought he was dead. So the series had the credibility of killing anyone off. Maybe not after this.

One of the issues with constantly threatening main characters is that it will inevitably be near the end of the season and becomes predictable.

The main characters shouldn't be dying because they are the most experienced killers anyway.

I want to know what happens to Glen while hes laying there. Does this break his belief in not killing people. Of trying to save everyone? He almost broke last season.

If you go back to the start, sure. Shane, Lori, Andrea, Herschel, Merle, T-Dog, Tyrese, Sofia, Dale. But it has been a while.

(and i found it pretty interesting that supposedly Glen has never killed another human, according to TD)

Rick=Warrior
Michonne=Samurai
Daryl= Archer
Morgan = Monk
Glenn = Thief
Sasha = Sniper
Abraham = Barbarian
Carol = Assassin
Priest = Priest
Maggie = Female warrior?

Then the rest

Just thought it was interesting they have differentiated the more important characters.

^8 Sasha came in after Beth.

I agree that it would be bullshit if they let Glenn survive this situation.
1) No body should/would survive being under a pile of zombies for any length of time.
2) His face, neck, and legs are exposed with Nick on top of him, and the zombies are not going to differentiate what they are grabbing at to eat/scratch
3) Even if he did pull himself under the dumpster, he would have parts of his body vulnerable while trying to get under, AND zombies could crawl under as well, since I am sure many are already on the ground eating Nick.

**side rant, how was Michonne not bit when climbing the fence. her legs were face-high to multiple zombies for a significant enough period of time. She was trying to kick them away, but the zombies were only trying to grab, not bite.**

With that said, I believe if he is dead, this was a very lame death, since it was for nothing.

IF he is to survive, I can only see it happening by immediately getting under the dumpster (not laying on the ground & screaming like the show left him), and then being immediately saved by another (new???) character. Any other way, it would earn a major , and would defy the show's own logic on how zombies unbiasly eat anything within reach.

^If you check the total episodes appeared in, she has more than Beth since she's still adding episodes and Beth was basically "missing" for a season. Was talking about episodes they appeared in when I said Sasha was in more episodes than Beth.

I think the only time any fans cared about Beth was when they thought her and Daryl had something starting up just to see her kidnapped, an entire season devoted to finding her, just to have her die once they find her. By the time she died I was more relieved they finally ended the "Quest for Beth" side-mission and could continue with the main storyline.

I agree, I didn't give a shit about Beth dying, but I was sad for Maggie having to deal with it.

Same goes for most all of the other 'main character' deaths.

- Shane was a dick
- Lori was fucking terrible
- Sophia was waaay under utilized as compared to the comic
- Andrea became emotionally annoying
- Dale was poorly casted, and was never seen as the badass he was in the comic
- Tyreese was too much of a pacifist to realistically survive long term
- T-Dogg was unfortunately during the ethno-cleansing period of the show
- Merle was a villain that was expect to die eventually

The only main characters worth caring about are the ones currently on the show, minus Gabriel

Earlier when I mentioned that the episode had been spoiled by folks on social media, I was not complaining at all. I was just stating that I had seen spoilers online.

I knew good and well that I would probably see spoilers. I couldn't watch the episode live so that was my choice. My statement was misinterpreted.

Now back to the topic, was Herschel a main character or supporting character?
