Some classes require Junior/Senior standing, etc. My question is if someone is currently a Junior and the class they want to take the next semester requires Senior standing, will they still be allowed to register for the course if they are a Junior but will be a Senior by the time they start the class (the next semester)?

While I don't know for sure what the current registration system does, in my experience it's never enforced prerequisites save for classes with restricted seats.

Yep I know they never enforce the pre-requisities actually, they just put that there in red letters to scare people who have not taken them to into not registering for the class.

they will not let you do this with ENG331 in the ME curriculum. you must be a junior to even register for it, and if you ask for an exception they blame the English dept and ignore your request

I ran into this scenario going into the Spring 2010 semester. MyPack seemed to account for IP hours and assumed I would pass all of them (which I did) and let me register for the class. So you should be fine, but let someone know ASAP if this is not the case.

Was the standing requirement under a separate bar called "Class Notes" or did it say it in the Restrictions ?
