Like everyone else, I offer my deepest condolences. It is very sad. I worked with her for what turned out to be one hell of a crazy summer with so many unique personalities and it definitely kept things interesting, but in a good fun way for the most part.

Rest In Peace Christine.

That was my Facebook post up there. It is eerie. I missed her then and now I miss her even more. We used to spend tons of time together in college, she was one of my closest friends. She even introduced me to my husband, humandrive. When I moved away we still tried to see each other often. Our doggies are even best friends. I keep bawling my eyes out, but you know what keeps popping into my head? HER TITTIES. I cannot for the life of me get the image of her boobs out of my head, and I'm sure that's the way she would have wanted it! She's teasing me even from heaven!

Just think Matt, she has Kevin, her favoritest dog ever, to keep her company until we're all with her again.

We love you Christine!

i, too, came here cause of something i saw on facebook.

the next jackleg? maybe in terms of how much she liked the wolfweb... but i used to talk to her on a fairly regular occasion when i lived in raleigh, gave her rides sometimes, stuff like that... and to compare her to me isn't fair to her legacy.

no matter how much progress i make in my life, and no matter how nice i try to be now -- i'd never try to group myself with someone like her: an infinitely honest and caring person.

christine and i weren't that close at all, especially considering that i moved away 4 years ago and haven't seen her since -- but i would like to tell her friends (and zorthage) that i totally feel your pain, having lost many people that i was very close to. it hurts really bad, but you know that person would want you to carry on, remember the good times, and be happy.... so do it!

i also think everyone reading can take something from this... never go to bed angry and never walk away mad. don't ever wait until "later" to tell people how you feel about them, and don't ever be too proud to apologize if you fuck up and feel bad.

sorry to go off on the little tangent, there... this really bums me out, and i think people should keep that stuff in mind, even when they haven't just lost a friend or peer.

Different circumstances, but in the thread about Stiletto, I looked back & it looks like she first found a picture of him looking happy that I think later became the iconic one of the way he'd want to be remembered.

I thought she deserved at least as much. She had too much personality to fit in one picture, so this is a small collage or composite. I don't know if these are best choices, but I wanted to capture her fun, sometimes silly, loving, social, and creative side."

Because it needs to be put on here.

I'm zorthage's brother, so ambrosia1231's brother-in-law. And I also was a friend of Stiletto (actually was a paulbearer for him). So I'm quite appreciative of the picture, I thought that was a good thing that she did back then. She was really a caring person, easy to laugh with and was interested in so many things, so I'm glad that someone could redo that photo again for her. Thank you for that, and the kind words from everybody for my brother. He has a great support system both on here and IRL, from family and friends, and I thank TWW for that as well.

If there are any updates, I'll make sure Matt, myself, or someone else puts them on here.

I'm touched and blown away at the good will, love, and caring I've seen in the past two days over ambrosia1231's passing. It still amazes how many people's lives Christine has touched. There have been people I would have never expected to hear anything from paying their respects, and I thank each and every one for you. I'm way behind on my PMs/Facebook messages/emails/etc, but I do intend on responding to each and every one of you. Again, thank you

Anyone who would be interested, there will be a memorial service Saturday (11/6) to honor her. If anyone wants those details, feel free to PM me as anyone is welcome to pay their respects.

I know many of you have been asking/wondering, but I unfortunately do not have many more details about the cause of her death; we're still trying to put the pieces together of what lead to her passing on Monday. I will say that she was found in her room Wednesday morning after I placed a welfare call when I learned she didn't make it to work Tuesday evening. I hopefully will learn more in the days coming up to have more information - she was robbed of many years.

And Kevin (my cocker) is up there when he was at his prime, when Christine did love him. And Bubs, her dog. She's having a grand time tormenting them in a yard somewhere <3

I only meant it as a 'she almost defines the site' at some points in TWW's lifetime. One of the memories I have of her the first few years was when people would recognize who she was; it was the 'WOAH, you are THE ambrosia1231' reaction/recognition, for better or worse As far as I am concerned, she is the Queen of TWW (no offense punchmonk) and I am damned proud of that.

Quote :
"i also think everyone reading can take something from this... never go to bed angry and never walk away mad. don't ever wait until "later" to tell people how you feel about them, and don't ever be too proud to apologize if you fuck up and feel bad."

I agree whole heartedly with this as well. One of the pains for me in all this was her being in Colorado as our 'plan to make it out there' for so long without me. The 'later' bit us in the ass... you never know when 'later' becomes 'never'. Jump on opportunities, seek help when you can, and move on what you want in life. Be sure people know how you care about them, you don't know when it will be too late.

Thank you TWW and everyone for the well wishes, e-hugs/e-love, thoughts, and kind words. The entire family appreciates it more than you know.

(Forgive the double post)

Supplanter bumping that charity reminded myself and the family of that wish of hers. We have been putting together a list of charities that if anyone wishes to make a donation in her name in lieu of flowers they can, and I'll make sure this one is included.

Chande Orphanage in Zambia - Her grandparents were very active working in Africa while they were over there, and Africa has always held a special place in her heart.
http://www.chandekids.org/story.htm

USO - She volunteered at the RDU location before leaving for Colorado, and would always call up the office to see if a soldier needed a ride when she was around the airport. There are at least a few soldiers that got a good meal, a free ride, and good company from RDU to Fayetteville.
http://www.uso-nc.org/images/stories/pdf/uso_of_nc_online_printable_donation_form.pdf

National Parks Foundation - We both are big fans of the National Park system, and we feel it doesn't get enough attention; We honeymooned (and she worked within spitting distance) at the parks for a reason
https://myaccount.nationalparks.org/sslpage.aspx?pid=358

Water for People - Skwinkle said it best: "They need less than $10,000 to reach their goal, so I think Christine would like it if TWW could help them reach it."

wow man, I'm sorry.

I didn't know her at all beyond a tangential awareness of her e-persona and a couple random PMs, but my guess is she'd be proud of the way you're handling things. Doesn't seem like the type that'd want a whole bunch of people belly-aching over her passing. As for my part, in the spirit of ambrosia1231 I vow to run into the next room, strip my gf naked, tie her up and spank the shit out of her until she can get all my credit card info into the Rosenthal Challenge website.

Lemme know if you need anything from a stranger on the internet, I'll try to help ya out any way I can.

Christine is seriously one of the most unique people I've met. We weren't super close, but she was certainly someone whose dialogue I valued when the moment presented itself. Very cool girl, very honest, very genuine. It's a damn shame someone like her is gone so soon.

You will be missed, ambrosia1231

and Matt, I'm so, so sorry for your loss, man. I know you've got great friends in your corner to help you through, though. Keep your head up.
