Mine is paranoid over expiration dates... she'll want to throw out stuff before it expires even if it looks fine.

Me on the other hand subscribe to the "its okay if it looks/smells alright" theory.

Also she hasn't quite grasped the difference between "expires on" vs "sell by" nor the concept that a freezer can preserve items past the original dates.

This has lead to us making separate dinners on more than one occasion (as well as me changing the dates ).

Opposite here. I just threw a bunch of her stuff out that expired in 2008.

I do that too

but I had a bad experience where I drank something like a day or two after the expiration date and I had to spit it out immediately... now I'm super paranoid

not really strange, but he doesn't listen and sometimes it makes me feel like I'm going insane! for example:

him: hey girlfriend, do you want this or that?
me: that please
him: ok, here's this
me: no, I said that
him: no you didn't

or

me: I have to change one behavior for five weeks for my nutrition counciling class, so I'm not going to eat sweets. hopefully this will help me lose this last 10lbs.
him: so you want to get down to 160?
me: yes... and I'm getting graded on it so this is serious
--the next day--
him: I got you a surprise at the grocery store! your favorite donut!
me: oh wtf... I can't have sweets for 5 weeks
him: huh?
me: the class I'm taking... I told you about this yesterday!!!!!!
him: oh I thought you just had to lose 10lbs

My bf is always paranoid about stuff going bad in the fridge. And I always remind him that I clean the fridge out weekly so the chances of him finding something bad or molding in there is pretty slim to none.

cant really think of anything but she makes me let "my daughter" in the bedroom at night which is actually her cat....

i also feel like her list would be like NCSUwolfy's and I dont know how/why she puts up with me. Its certainly not my looks. Oh yeah its that self deprecating humor!!!

My bf is a freak about expiration dates too but he has gotten a lot better since we've been together.

My husband is pretty intelligent but dammit sometimes he says "tooken " instead of taken and I straight up see murder in my eyes. Like wtf, that's not even a word, DUDE.
