Logicon. I also read about that. The blower was only 40 bucks so I decided to give it a try. Any suggestions on where to get a logicon ?

LMAO. Apparently the Ford Mustang V6's driveshaft can't handle speeds of over 120 mph (it is limited to 112 mph from the factory). Watch the video link below to witness the driveshaft going "pop"!

I find it comical that the v6 and the v8 have the same tranny but different driveshafts.

wtf?

But yeah that's pretty lame, however driving 140 on the street is pretty dumb too..

Next round will be electronically limited no doubt.

^the owner of that Mustang disabled the factory speed limiter. Apparently the stock driveshaft is light and very weak to help the car achieve its 30 mpg highway rating. I think if you order the track pack for the V6 you get the uprated driveshaft and no speed limiter. AFAIK the Camaro V6 tops 150 no problem.

lol

Depends how much power you're putting down I guess? The S2000 has spent a lot of time above 115 and everything on it seems A okay

"Murci, Murcy Me: Man wins Lamborghini, wrecks it hours later [w/video]

The Thrill Of Victory. The Agony of Defeat. Rarely does one person get to experience such highs and lows within mere hours of each other, but when it happens, the comedown is often all the more painful. Just ask Santaquin, Utah resident David Dopp. The Frito-Lay truck driver won a green Lamborghini MurciƩlago LP640 Roadster, grand prize in the "Joe Schmo To Lambo" contest operated by Maverik gas stations and teamgive.org last month.

Dopp, father of six, was finally presented the car on Saturday afternoon, after which he set about driving it around the neighborhood, giving rides to friends. His elation wouldn't last. Less than six hours after taking delivery of the Lamborghini, Dopp lost control of the 640-horsepower Italian, hopped a curb and spun it into an embankment 75 feet from the road. A witness, Miles Davis (yes, really), said that skid marks were evident on the road and that the car ended up facing the wrong direction. Neither Dopp nor his friend in the passenger seat were injured.

Police say the accident was likely "speed-related," although Dopp reportedly says he was only doing 40-50 mph when he lost control of the car on a section of road with a 35-mph speed limit. Dopp maintains he might have hit some black ice or gravel. Bullllllshit

While the extent of the damage to the Lamborghini is not immediately clear, local publication Instaquin notes that Dopp has full insurance"

This guy needs to be taken out back and beaten with a hose. What a fucking moron. Italic comment added by me.

there is snow on the ground in that video, still, not too many ppl could get used to driving a 600+ hp car in a few hours

more than likely on summer tires, which didn't help, even though it has awd

sad

I tested my AP1's driveshaft to 145 just to make sure it was safe for everyone else out there. It's good!

Something tells me Honda made it strong enough and very well balanced considering how well everything else on the car is engineered.

Nope. Not an AP1, anyway....can't remember if the AP2s are geared shorter or taller.

I mean, I doubt it would have RADARed at that, but it'll sure get there indicated if you have enough boost pressure.

So it seems we're getting a fiat 500 abarth...

my first thought was AWESOME!! then i looked up it's specs, and i'm not really impressed.

My wife's soul has 4 more hp, weighs about 100lbs more, has 4 doors and a crap-ton more room and cost's 6k less... WTF?

yeah to be honest in the tiny econo box catagory i'd buy the soul... again... and again..

the only thing i don't like about it is the steering feedback... sucks..

p.s.

this control arm is so sexy i would contemplate making love to it if i ever saw it in person.

Have you tried the typical tricks?

Make sure everything is tight, then add additional weather stripping where you think the noise is coming from?

no i havent, but its just being lazy on my part.

seems the rear seats rattle when laid flat as well.

another well-documented juke noise was fixed easily enough- the plastic cowl that touches the windshield at the bottom makes an incessant squeaking when grit gets down in there and rubs between it and the glass.

stick a business card in it-

i also recently got a recall notice and had the turbo inlet tube(?) replaced.

gas mileage has been 28 in mixed driving on premium fuel.

I had to do the same thing to my Integra...after about 250k miles. Sounds like a really well built machine you got there.

will get a more complete list soon but off the top of my head,

a few sheets of 2'x10' smoked glass, 1/4" (will double check dimensions)
a couple 2 or 4 bulb 2'x4' fluorescent fixtures (w/ extra bulbs)
decomposing bmx bike
large art drying rack (maybe, have to consult a buddy first)
'shop couch' (pretty clean actually)
maybe a coffee table
some r/c plane stuff (some old planes w/o gear)
decent size window a/c unit
um

pics and more later in classifieds
